I am a receptionist and was called by these slicksters one busy day at work.

I thought I would be able to see through these types of scams, as I've been the ordering clerk for companies for some time.

These rude bastards called under the guise of Omega Office Supply, saying that our toner cart's price was increased.

They happened to catch me at a busy time, and proceeded to call back several times to re-correct themselves on the pricing. I feel like a FOOL!!!!

They proceeded to send me the toner, which normally costs us under $100 from our regular distributer. Their price, get this, showed up at $439.00 PLUS $53 s/h.

What a load of crap!!!! If they call your business, and say that a former receptionist used to order with them all of the time, or that they have always had your business, HANG UP!

To further the crappiness of the situation, I called them this morning, and the sea hag that I spoke to at said distributer yelled at me, cut me off the whole time, and basically enraged me.

So, take it from a smart woman who was scammed. Don't give these solicitors an inch. And remember, you are supposed to call your distributer when you run out of toner, and the legit ones never should call you to "check on your supplies." Chances are they want something, to rip you off.
