Intexcorp.com pool rip off Long Beach California

I bought an above ground pool from intex via target who sells them, it is an 18ft round by 48 ft deep metal frame pool. I have been having problems with the filter since day 1. It came with a vacum kit whic to my understanding is to vacum up dirt and debris from the floor of the pool. I was told by Intex that I had to go out and purchase a third party pump and filter that would do the job I need to have done. We to my understanding by Intex corp that the pum and filter is not made to remove sediment or dirt from the bottom. It is only for leaves and big debris like that. I have been arguing with them for over 1 1/2 yrs now about their product. I filled a report with the bbb in California. They checked it out and found out that over 800 people who have bought a pool from intex has filled a report against Intex for not backing up their product and I also found out that they do not have a license to sell anything here in the USA. A report was also filed with the FTC about the company and I have not heard back from them yet. I am looking at a pool that when dirt is vacumed up it comes right back out of the pump past the filter and right back into the pool. Making it even dirtier then before. I have spent over $ 1000 dollars now from the purchase of the pool to chemicals that are suppose to work to clean up the water to a new liner and cover. I also found out that in the bbb's report that some of the problems that were filed said that the motor burns out, the pool developes leaks, basically it is a rip off. Intex does not stand behind their products and in turn will not help out the consumer with any problems. So basicly you are screwed and you can not return the pool to the store or to Intex corp directly. They should either be fined heavily, or shut down completely. I have gotten a rebuttle back from them stating that they in no way will back up their products and there is nothing I can do. So both myself and my wife are screwed out of $499. plus tax for the pool itself, but also screwed because I can not take it back for a full money back refund. I would like to know what the hell is the FTC going to do about. I am to this day still waiting to hear from the FTC regarding this matter. Or is it that a big company like Intex can get away with selling disfunctional products. Even without a license. Wow what a country we live in where companies can rip off the consumer and the consumer has to dish out lots of money for companies to get rich off of. I know of other people who have bought the same pool and have the same problems and if they knew this would not have bought it in the first place. Other people I speak with want to go out and buy an above ground pool and I am telling them to stay away from intex corp. Spend a little bit more for a better product. Now if Intex is allowed to get away with what they are doing then I feel sorry for this country allowing a company like that to stay in business. I want an answer to this problem and I want it soon.
