Iowa Steak Co. Dylan Holt Iowa Steak Co scammed me & stole $600 Tacoma, Washington

A guy came to my door selling meat & seafood. I wrote him a check for $309 and gave him $20 cash and he gave me the meat & seafood.  Some of the seafood was partially thawed when I removed it from the boxes and put it in my freezer.

The same guy, he said his name was 'Mike', came to my door again and told me that his truck was broken into and his checks were stolen.  He asked me if I would write another check, less the $25 stop payment fee on the check I'd given him the day before. 

I gave him a check for $284 and called my bank to stop payment on the check for $309. It had already been cashed.

I called my bank the next day and the check for $284 had also been cashed.

The total stolen was $613 and I'm afraid to eat the meat/seafood because I have doubts about it being properly kept the cold chain.

I called Iowa Steak Co. and they told me that Dylan Holt, who had cashed the checks, had worked for them in the past but that they were a reputable company.  Right...
