I recently purchased a used vehicle from Ira Toyota in Tewksbury, MA and since I've owned it I have had a number of problems with it.

First of all the truck was going through cooland in an unbelievable manner, when I brought it to there attention I was told it was a sensor. But upon inspection after leaving it with them they notified me it was the head gasket, after arguing with them they agreed to fix it for free and after more arguing they gave me a rental. All was fine until it rained then all of the sudden I noticed my back seats were wet, when I brought this issue to there attention, they said I had to fix that on my own, they dont actually handle glass they sub-let that type of work out, and that it wasnt covered anyways. So I brought it to a couple glass companies which all told me that the gaskets around the back slider and other two back windows were installed incorrectly when last done, The quotes to fix the 3 windows were approx $300 in total, I asked Ira to at least help me w/ the cost of repairs but of course they refused, and this is all within the first month of owning this vehicle.

Now here it is almost 3 mos later and my low coolant light pops on, instantly I have a knot in my stomach.
I called Ira, set an appointment up to bring it in for a couple days later. When I got there they took my truck in and approximately 45 minutes later they came out and told me it was a " freeze plug " which wasnt under there warranty, and they werent going to fix it for me at any type of discount. I then stated that this truck, which isnt old by any means, shouldnt be having this problem and I wanted to know why it was happening, they couldnt give me an explanation, just an estimate of repairs which again was over the $300 mark. I told them I wasnt happy with this vehicle and all of the headaches which came with it and I wanted to know what they could do for me, they basically laughed and said too bad. Actually the manager said and I quote " if you dont like the truck stop making the payments " I was extremely upset.
The only thing I can say to anyone out there who are thinking about dealing w/ Ira motor group, DONT, once they have you and your signature they arent willing to work with you at all, they dont back up there used vehicles, and could care less how it impacts you.

I am now consulting w/ a lawyer and having it looked at by a certified mechanic to see if they can prove this was an existing problem when they sold it to me.
I just want to state, I did do my homework before buying this vehicle, I had a carfax done on it, test drove it for a day, ect ect, and still I got RIPPED OFF !!

Ed, You should clarify a few things here

AUTHOR: Steve [Not A Lawyer] - (U.S.A.)

Ed,

You say you bought a used vehicle, but you never mentioned the YEAR, make and model. Nor did you say when you bought it or how long you have had it.

Then you mention a warranty, but never said what kind. Is this a manufacturer's warranty, ans aftermarket/extended warranty, or an "in-house"
warranty.

You also mentioned making payments, but did not say to whom. Is this "in-house" financing, or did a real bank finance it?

Most used vehicles are sold "as-is", so it appears they did you right so far if this is the case.

Used cars have problems. This is unavoidable. If you expect to not put any money into a used car, you are going to be suprised.

Good luck!
