iRefurbishLCD.com stole thousands of dollars worth of screens from us without even batting an eye. BEWARE

The service they provide is for smartphone repair shops. They claim to refurbish broken screens by replacing the broken glass on iPhone screens with a good, OEM LCD so the repair shops can resell these screens. It's less expensive than an entire new screen assembly and is generally a better quality for the customer because the LCD is OEM from Apple. You save up the cracked screens from customer devices then send them all to them. They, in turn, refurbish them and send them back to you in exchange for a per-screen fee. 

We sent them 35 screens for the first order. The turnaround time they claimed was 5 business days. We were to pay $60 each for them to be refurbished and sent back. After 2 weeks with no communication I called the 1-800 number on the site and reached Josh. He said they should be done but would check and call me back. No call-back. Another week goes by, I call again. Same answer, same result. No call-back. 

Then, I get this email from Josh: "I am sorry I know is frustrating wand very unprofessional It look like they shipped ur package to a wrong person I can pay you for ur broken screen or I can can replace them  replacing might might be a bit long bec is hard to get broken 6 screen plz advice what to do u can log in to ur account and see how many screen was good for both order and advice me sorry again."

My response: "This is completely unacceptable. You're telling me you shipped $2000 worth of screens to the wrong person? What are you trying to pull here? That's not believable at all. It could be overlooked as a mistake if everything else had been aboveboard along the way, but we've been misled from minute one. When I first called I was told that there'd be a 1-2 day turnaround, plus transit time, to get them back. You said the site would be updated after they were tested and fixed, then we'd pay and receive a tracking number. None of those things happened. Not one. I've called more than once over the last few weeks. The first time you said you'd check and would call me back, you didn't. The second time you said they were sent and the site would update to reflect that soon, it didn't and they weren't. Today you maintained they were sent and said you'd check and promised to call me back, you didn't. If I wanted to sell them I would have sold them. We gave them to you to refurbish them. After 3 weeks you tell me I'm just out of luck? "Unprofessional" is an understatement in this situation."

I eventually agreed for him to just pay for the screens but the communication stopped. The phone stopped being answered all the sudden, too. I gave him my PayPal address, said I would take CC by phone, whatever. In the end, he essentailly stole the screens to resell to other unsuspecting customers at a higher profit. It's a slap in the face to entreprenuership in America and is shameful to take advantage of the fact we are in different states. I sent email after email begging them to somehow make it right. Pay something, say something, do the right thing with no response. Please avoid this company if you own a smartphone or tablet repair shop. They are amatuers trying to work their way up the latter by stealing from others.
