IRS/KATRINA COLE/STEVE WILSON I received a call this morning form a katrina cole from the "IRS" with a fake IRS badge number and case number stating that there was a warrant for my arresst and acusing me of violating several laws and IRS tax codes. I was questioned and asked if I admit that I broke the law and also told that the call was being recorded and several parties were listening in to include the FBI and dept of homeland security. The caller had an asian accent possibly from India or pakistan. The caller knew my home address and my spouse name. The caller had an Asian accent possibly from India or Pakistan. The caller knew my home address and my spouse name. The caller then transferred me to her "Division Head" who when asked for his badge number would not give it to me and started being very abusive on the phone. I reported this immediately to the FBI and also to the IRS inspector General at 1-800-366-4484. One huge tipoff, the IRS does not call you and let you know that there is a warrant for your arrest. Also, when I called the number back, I received a return phone call within 30 seconds. The IRS is not that easy to get a hold of. The callers had very common American names but thick foreign accents. The call was terrifying for the first 5 minutes until I realized it was a scam.
