This company or it's individuals do not operate their business with integrity or honestly. If you plan on doing any business or transactions with this company beware. Check them out before doing business. I wish I had, because I wouldv'e knew what type of people I'm dealing with. They've perviously been involved with insurance fraud with Fidelity Life, by signing people up with out that persons knowledge or consent.  Unfortuantely I didn't do my research on them until after I signed a contract to work with them. They created an illusion of what type of company they are and how they're growing and need to hire additional staff. That may have been the case but after 4 weeks of working with them they decided that the position was something they no longer needed. Kelly actually had me meet him at a starbucks instead of the office to tell me this. Said he had a flight to catch which was probably a lie, said he needed to go to Cleveland for a month to handle something in their other office. Felt the need to go in to much detail about the trip to make it seem convincing. Said he was going to fly back every weekend. Atlanta to Cleveland is not a cheap trip unless you have flyer miles and if you do have flyer miles who would use them that way. Any way during my termination which was all verbally. He started out that this is never easy and went on to say they decided that they really didn't need a Real Estate Acquisitionist. Said the banks are doing things differently when sending out property info and he's not going to be purchasing as many properties as he thought he was. Said it was nothing I did wrong it just didn't make sense to pay someone to pull property listing from mls.  I can understand and except change but if I asked you just a week before if you were ready for the position and you tell me yes. I expect that to be what it is a week later. He said he didn't have anything to say onthat point. I asked about the contract we signed where he would have to give a 30 day notice before terminating the contract and he said "Well he thought about that but felt that it didn't make sense to pay someone for 30 days where the contract has been terminated." Basically he assumed thay the quality of work wouldnt be the same since I'm on notice. After talking with him it seemed as he thought out everything to avoid abiding by the 30 day notice. Said there was a clause in the contract about contract can immediately be terminated upon breach or non-performance by contractor /consultant. SO he said he could just write up a letter stating that it was due to non performance. I said didn't you just say it ws nothing I did and its was just no need for the position. He said yes but if I see I'll probably need to write up a letter.  Said he could give me the 30 day notice but the contract didn't state how many hours I'm working. Basically he could just have the notice and not give me any hours.  He said basically the contract can't hold him to anything. This may be just a little job but he handled our business in this manner then I'm sure he would handle any business transaction the same way. Real Estate transaction are big transactions and if someone is working in the industry should operate with integirty. With their past ventures and now this I don't believe they operate that way. I've heard stories about investors but I came them the benefit of the doubt. I'm upset about the whole thing becasue I made changes in my career to focus on this job. All they had to do is be honest; that way I could have had a fair chance to decide to work with them or not.  See their job posting below.

Owners statement is coming from a bad place. It's obvious he is upset about my complaint and he's wanting to retaliate against me but I'm not surprised. It's strange that a business owner would make untrue statements about a former employee/contractor. During my interview with Kelly and his wife/business partner there was no time wasted with getting an offer for the position. His business partner didn't even know I was coming for an interview. His business partner/wife immediately said you're hired after just a quick conversation and not even seeing my resume.  During the interview the job description that I was told never even happened.

The first day I started in the office was Feb 6th not the 9th. That day they wanted me to come in to learn some of the things they do. That day I actually saved them from purchasing a property that would have cost them a lot of money. Which I think should have been caught by them since he feels I was trying to gain success and knowledge off of them. At that time his business partner/wife made a statement how she felt they had the right person working with them. This would also reference back to Kelly's statement about the bonus that was given to me. I wasn't even expecting a bonus for Feb but Kelly insisted since I saved them from a purchase that would have cost them money.  Next making comments about my work history is "SLANDER". He might want to refresh on what slander is.

Far as me not having a real estate lic. that was not the requirement for the job. They nver asked if I had one or said I needed one. I'm the one who mentioned I was going to go take my state exam at the end of the March. They said that would be good for me depending on what type of agent I wanted to be . They weren't to worried about it anyway because his business partner / wife was thinking about getting her real estate lic. and plus an in house real estate agent wasnt going to be need until later on down the road when they start doing more business in Georgia.  Plus an agent can only work for a broker and they're not a broker, so when I did get my lic. I couldn't have worked for them directly.  Far as deleting files off a cloud service doesn't make sense. We each had our own gmail account and used our own google drive to share documents. I have no way deleting any documents from someone else google drive. Any person that uses it knows that once you share a document with someone that gmail account will always have access to the document.  By the way the only thing that was in my drive was documents and speadsheets I created and shared with them through google drive. None of their personal business files was ever shared with me.  I guess my work wasnt that bad after all.

I can go on and on about his statement and even justify that his statement is untrue. If he feels the need to take me to court then that will be. I'm sure this slanderous statement he just made about me wouldn't help his case.  Still he never commented on the fact that I came to him a 2 weeks before he ended the contract asking for feed back on my work and if they were ready for the position, because I felt there was a lot of things unorganized, he sent me an email one week where the hours he wanted me to work was less then 25 hours and the duties that was explained in the interview never happened. At that time when I asked Kelly he said  Iwas doing a great job and that they were ready for the position. Far as signing a non-compete agreement I actually had to ask him about the contracts because I was waiting on him to have them ready the week I started. Meaning I sent him a message asking if he had the contracts ready a couple weeks later. Actually the week before he ended the contract he came to me with some made up contracts he did. I didn't feel comfortable signing them because one he had a 5 year non compete agreement. Second he still didn't outline details of my position in the contract as I asked him to do the first day I started. I would think anyone would have some reserve about signing any contract someone just made up themselves. Again why go through the trouble of making a contract if you had no intentions on keeping me a week later.  I trusted him way to much by signing them. If I had different motives why would I sign them.

Far as me wanting to know what him and the other 1 staff was talking about is bogus. The office it's self you can hear a pin drop. The walls were so thin you could hear the neighboring office as if you was sitting in their office. I actually turned music on my lap top so that it could be some sort of noise and Kelly at one point turned on music because he didn't want to hear the next door office.  Plus nobody in the office really talked. When Kelly did come in the office he stayed in his office majority of the time. His business partner/wife was there everyday and she didn't talk that much. I actually only worked 1 full week in the office. Most of the time Kelly asked me to work from home because they weren't going to be in the office; when infact they were in the office. One week I was asked to work from home because Kelly said he was leaving town and he wanted to rearrange the desk in the office. The day I returned one of the other workers asked where have I been because they havent seen me in a while. I was surprised because I thought no one was going to be there that week I worked at home. Not to mention the desk were still the same   I never had any issue with an employer like this and I will probably never have it again. I don't have to defend my work history because I've obviously been making a living. I just know this guy is not truthful about anything and if getting in front of a judge with all these lies makes him feel better about telling them. Then that's what it can be because he and I both know what was said to me during my short employment and when he ended the contract is exactly how I explained it.

Oh yeah he correct about Georgia being a at will employment for an employee but if you have a contract in place that gives other intentions then the contract trumps that law. So if you were terminating the contact because you decided you no longer needed the position then you should go by the terms of the contract. Stating a 30 day notice would be given.  He said he didn't have to go by the terms but if I wanted to end the contact I would have had to give them a 30 day notice. When the contract clearly states both parties would be required to give the notice. AS we can see now he wants to say it was because of my work performance. I have emails and chats where he always gave good reviews about something I did. Last note the company had no business operations in place when I started or any direction. I had to created my own formats from day one.  Plus the only work I was tasked to do the entire time was market research.  Market research only intelled looking up neighborhoods and finding out what investors were doing in those particular neighborhoods. Which I did to the point were they said they didn't want me to get burned out with market research. Yet still not other task was assigned.

#2 REBUTTAL Owner of company

Disgruntled Independent Contractor Brandy White Atlanta Duluth

AUTHOR: isource360CEO - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, April 06, 2015

Hello My name is Kelly Ejirika and I am the CEO of iSource360, LLC We are headquarterd in Duluth, GA with offices in Cleveland, OH and Houston, TX. We are a fully integrated investment firm. Our main focus is residential real estate where we buy properties, renovate them and rent them out. We focus on high cash flow markets in the US. St. Louis, Birmingham, Atlanta, Cleveland, & Detroit to name a few. I am only responding to this RipoffReport just in case any of my potential business associates or customers see this report they can read my response without asking me. RipoffReports can affect a business negatively and since RipoffReport has a policy to never remove reports from the site, a response is our only ONLINE recourse.

On around Feb 9th I reluctantly contracted a woman named Brandy White from Duluth, GA outside Atlanta to be our Acquisitions Admin/ Research Assistant. I say reluctantly because she had a very weak resume. She barely had any verifiable real estate experience but after being exhausted with interviews and other highly qualified people opting for higher paid contracts or even employment offers I figured I was being to picky and should just settle for someone. And that is what I did. One thing I have learned with contractors and employees is that if someone doesn't have steady work history then there is probably a reason for it.

Brandy White is a disgruntled contractor that had her contract terminated due to non-performance and subpar performance. I didn't have to give her 30 days notice. Even in a employment situation Georgia is an at will state and I could fire her at anytime but in a 1099 situation no notice is required.

After a few days and then weeks it became clear that some of the things Brandy mentioned in her initial meeting with me and my partner were either exaggerations or just not true. We couldn't verify any of the company names she gave as references for other investors or brokers she performed freelancer work for. She stated she was studying for a real estate agents exam but never followed up with us when we told her we would need an in-house agent. She only seemed to be interested in private conversations I was having with my partner or other employee for our digital marketing agency.

It became clear to me that Brandy's intention was to just "learn" as much as she could from us but not really work hard to do what she was contracted to do. Her reports and research were subpar and I overlooked it until it just became to much and on a Monday I called her met her at a Starbucks and told her we didn't need her anymore. I thought since I could use any reason why tell her it was because I didn't think she was good or that I didn't trust her. She wasn't an employee she was a 1099 contractor. She worked from home about 30% of the time she was contracted with us and when she was in the office she had her own laptop and own materials.

She knew nothing about our business operation in those 30 months other than we bought over 8 properties with CASH for 10 cents on the dollar in the 30 days she worked there. She now knows that we are growing and have hired other people and is really just mad that she can't be a part of something great.

So she comes here on ripoffreport to say what? That we cancelled a contract.

Did she say we didn't pay her what we owe?

Did she mention that we paid a bonus equal to one weeks of billed hours even though we didn't have to? No she makes false claims of fraud in a previous business my partner was involved in 7 years ago that had nothing to do with her work and everything to do with the fact that she just wants to get back at us For moving on with out her.

Brandy White didn't have a job when she came to contract for us. That is what she told us. She didn't have it on her resume. She also was skittish when I asked her to sign a non-disclosure and non-circumvention agreement. In my experience only people with ulterior motives refuse to sign NCNDs or Non-Competes.

I will clearly admit that everything wasn't handled the way it should. Here are the lessons I learned:

1) Go with your gut on hiring employees and contracting freelancers.

2) Have a lawyer draft your contracts

3) Have a clear 30 day probation period where you can end the contract at a moment’s notice so everyone is clear

4) Be careful with craigslist. It can be hit or miss and it's best to use another job site to supplement your applicant pool or freelancer pool.

So to any potential employees or contractors reading this report trying to decide if you want to work at iSource360 don't let this disgruntled Brandy White persuade you not to at least come speak with us and judge for yourself. We have an amazing culture and she just didn't FIT.

To any potential customers or business associates I am sure you are smart enough to know what the internet has become. There are plenty of websites like this were someone can post whatever they want and it gets posted. This website did nothing to verify her claims and they don't have to. I recognize that RipoffReport is needed but not for people that were not ripped off.

Brandy White Atlanta Duluth has no real damages or money loss. Even I initially felt like I wasted a lot of my time but in life some lessons are cheap and some cost money. I have learned a valuable lesson. I wish Brandy White the best even after she has posted this. We are going to pursue legal action due to some files she deleted off of a cloud and because some of the comments were slanderous above but that's just the consequence of her actions but I still hope she finds gainful employment or freelancer work at another place where her skills and personality fit. She did not fit at iSource. I Kelly Ejirika did nothing wrong in ending a contract with someone that didn't fit.

P.S. The so called rip off was techincally reported by an anonymous person but I can prove with uploads of the contract, a resume, etc that the person is indeed Brandy White Atlanta Duluth but my whole point here was not to go down this low road.

text message from the owner

POSTED: Wednesday, March 11, 2015

So yesterday Sunday morning I get a nasty text message from the owner Kelly. Basically making threats;  saying I'm going to regret making this complaint. Again this goes to show what type of individual he is and how he operates as a business man. The text also included negative remarks about my work so now he wants to say my work wasn't good enough but he didnt tell me because he didnt want any enemies.  I'm not sure what world he lives in but business is business.  If I came to you a week before you decided to terminate the contract; asking you for feedback on my work and you say I'm doing a great job plus I have emails and chats with you proclaiming the same thing.

How did you come to a conclusion now that I wasn't doing a good job.  If that was the case then or when you terminated the contract you should've said it. I would have respected your position and moved on.  This complaint stems from the way you handled it when it came time to fulfill the terms in the contract you created. Trying to manipulate the terms to benefit you. I may have been blind eyed by signing it but I was going off of trust and building a long term relationship with the company.

Lesson learned dont build business relationships off of trust build them on what will happen if the trust is gone. Unfortunately I left a year long full time job to work with them. Thinking this was a good opportunity to grow with a small company and get back into real estate.  Now I have to start over again because I trusted the wrong company. Thats the risk I took but the way this guy went about it was shady. People in this industry need to operate with more integrity rather if you're an investor or agent. Our economy is affected by people who don't operate that way.
