Italk Wireless, a verizon wireless franchise, is a terrible place to shop, and an even more terrible place to work. I am one of the victims who worked for this poor exuse of a company.
First thing that caught my attention was on my first paycheck, I had had $125 deducted from it, I called owner, Amir, and asked why, well it turns out that in the 15 page new hire paperwork, in very very fine print, it stated that each new hire would have $125 taken out for keys... Keys are $2.00there screams out pyramid scheme...
Second thing I noticed was that they never had any inventory of phones, how can you run a sucessful business and expect your staff to get results when you aren't even giving them the necessary tools to be sucessful? Aside from the inventory issue, the upper management treats the employees like crap, they make you work 12 hour shifts, with no break, and tell you if you get caught sitting down at any point they will deduct $50.00 from each paycheck!!
Myself and about 10 other people that I worked with have been shorted hours, and money on every single paycheck, and have never recieved a paycheck on time. Who wants to work for a company where you have to worry about getting paid? Seems like the owners of Italk spend too much time shopping for new company vehicles, going out to lunch, and changing sales quotas every day, and not enough time running their "business".
Consumers beware. Do not purchase a cell phone from these crooks, they will overcharge you, and charge you a $75 restocking fee if you want to return your device. If you are planning on getting a family plan with iphones you can forget about it, Italk gives a 2 iphone maximum per customer, and the employees have to call their dms (who never answer) to get approval, crazy right? Go to a corporate location where you will not get ripped off, plus, this company will not be around much longer i can garantee you.
Now when I say the company will not be around much longer, I mean it. My dm actually told me something interesting about these crooks when I questioned all of the company vehicles, turns out they are all leased vehicles and owner Amir knows someone who sets the miles back when they turn them in so they don't get fined! That is mileage fraud and is a felony charge!

This website was ultimately created so that people can speak their minds on companies they have done business with or worked for. It is absolutely ridiculous and uneducated to assume that every employee or customer who has said negative things about the company has been fired for "performance or theft."
If I talk has employees getting fired left and right for "performance" maybe as a company you guys need to generate more trainings, or maybe the "district managers" can help coach their teams. It's sad, I talk has had a lot of great employees who have not all been let go due to "performance or theft" most of the past employees have actually left on their own terms.
I was an honest employee who left on my own terms. ....There are plenty of other Retailers out there that treat their employees better, pay better, and train their employees better, so people stay far and clear away from any italk location.

Thank you Andrew for responding. Your company does not have anything approved by Verizon. Nothing. The $125 deducted from a paycheck is something that can be fought and won fairly easily by contacting your State's wage and labor department. If this issue is still going on, former employee, I would encourage you to look into it. There is nothing ethical about the way you carry yourself, iTalk. How many carriers have you burned bridges with? How many carriers won't ever work with you again? Your company is a joke! I can't wait for the day Verizon pulls your dealer agreement and you have nowhere to go. You two will be left scratching for a way to scam others. Your former employees don't call you scam artists because they were fired for disciplinary purposes, they call you that because it's the truth. I remember when we were instructed to fabricate reasons for dismissing employees so they would have more difficulty filing for unemployment. You should be ashamed of yourselves, but alas, you keep hurting customers and employees alike.

It amazes me when an employee of a company who is let go for disciplinary action, theft or lack of performance voices to the public what they seem to state as a scam.
In today's economic struggles you would think that people should embrace the opportunity to have employment, but rather, the slackers of a company seem to think they can under perform, steal and still be able to maintain their employment.
I, over time, have gotten to know the staff of this company and I can assure you that their business is legit, honest and compliant with all the guidelines that they are scrutinized on by Verizon Wireless.
I would simply ask that before you make judgement on any one person or company that you, yourself, experience an interaction with this store or their stores and make your own decision.

Dear Noname:
Whats funny is that about half of what you said is not true. The $125 deduction for keys is not just for keys its for if you loose them it pays for the REKEY of the store because you were to careless. The $125 deduction is not in VERY VERY fine print it is in the same font as everything else in the contract and there aren't even 15 pages in the contract is self. there are 12. The new hire paperwork is for your benifit as it is a member information sheet, W-9, W4, and I-9 which your tax paperwork and then your bank information paperwork so your paycheck can get direct deposited into your account every other week. you are the one writing your bank information so if you change your bank account from when you got hired and you don't let who you need to know then yeah your check is going to be delayed because you were to careless to update the information. The upper management does what they can and tries to help out the employees the best can. You must have taken the emails to personal because being Stearn is way different then treating you like crap. If you get a promotion and a "stupid" 50cent raise which is actually a lot for a raise these days considering min wage is not almost $8. you are not slave, your given more responsibility because you must have shown yourself that you can handle it. but from the looks of it doing phone transfers was just simply too much for you. all this complaint does is just show is that nothing went your way and it went the way of the owner who follows the rules from corporate Verizon. You all also get paid overtime is worked. God forbid you work a 12 hour day when nurses and doctors work 42 hour shifts all the time. to cry about a 12 hour shift..really get over your self and grow up. I highly doubt you have been shorted hours considering you complained of working a 12 hour shift and it is mandatory that you take an hour break. yeah you may have been busy but there was at one point a chance for you to relax and eat something. If your sitting around you look lazy. If a customer walks in and just sees you sitting there they arent gonna wanna buy anything from someone who looks like they hate their job. Also the restock fee is $35 so you deff need to recheck yourself on that one. Also you need to get a DM approval on making a really good sale because they will know better off if its a good deal or not because some employees think its ok to do something even when they are told no. And if you were leasing a car and went over your miles and knew someone who could set them back you would do the same. Only little do most know there is a whole other system in the engine that doesn't allow you to so. So if you do set the miles back the dealer will know. IF Amir did do that he would have been caught a long time ago. People do shady s**t all the time in this world and there is no doubt in my mind you haven't ever done anything shady so cut the crap. Amir also gets Bran new cars because he CAN AFFORD THEM!!! If you had money like he does you be doing the same thing so again cut the crap...You also shouldn't believe everything you hear that's how rumors start. You act like your still high school believing everything you hear and thinking its true and then telling everyone else a different version. GET OVER YOURSELF!! Your in the real world now so stop nip picking and crying and whining about the bad s**t. Get over it. s**t happens its life. This is the real world were people work for a living. Your supposed to be an adult so you should prolly start acting like it and if you have that big of a problem then face it like a man or a women. Were not 12 here.
