It's About Comfort ripoff and extremely rude phone techniques. Houston Texas

I was given the name of It's About Comfort by Gallery Furniture in Houston, as a potential location for refurbished or returned Tempur-Pedic mattresses. I phoned their clearance center located on West Sam Houston PKWY on Saturday the 25th of April to find out more information about this, and to get a price on a king sized mattress. Mr. Jim --- answered the phone, and after I asked him several questions regarding this, he told me that he had some floor models in a 'queen' size available on his floor, but no king size, and selling a returned mattress was against the law.

When I asked the pricing on the queen, he told me that he would not tell me the price over the phone and that he did not like the premise of the phone call. When I said that my wife and I would entertain a queen size, IF the price was right he yelled into the phone I don't like the premise of this phone call - F*** You, and hung up the phone. I tried phoning back, and the answering machine picked up, as if to avoid my phone call when he saw caller ID.

Now, I am not an owner of a business, but I DO know that every potential customer should NEVER, EVER be treated in this manner. I am going to be filing a formal written complaint with the BBB, and also contacting Tempur-Pedic directly to let them know what an Authorized Dealer is telling potential customers, and how they are representing their product. This action is and was totally unacceptable to me, and to my wife (as we were on speaker phone). This company should be fined by, and removed from, Tempur-Pedic's Authorized Dealer list.
