ITT Technical Institute- Corona Campus ITT Tech ONLY THING THEY CARE ABOUT IS THE MONEY, NOT EDUCATION!!! Corona, California

I work for a trade school myself so I felt I did all my homework when it came to finding the right school and the process going through admissions was excellent. Thats about the only good thing I can say about my experience at ITT Tech and the rest of my experience helped me understand why it is that trade schools get such a bad rap.

For starters, we were late in getting our books which in itself is not that big of a deal but then we found out that one of our classes did not have room for the 2 hour lab required in that class, we were being sent home 2 hours early for the first 6 weeks without any lab time.

Because of my background, I sparked a relationship with the Program Chair, the person responsible for my program. He confided in me that the numbers in that campus were really bad, he told me that he had to answer to his bosses because so many students were dropping the program. He had also advised me that they were having problems finding students jobs, not something you want to hear when your going through the program. The next thing he said was the scariest, he stated that he has no problem giving away AA degrees, it was the BA degrees that people had to earn.

I had alot of issues making it to class because of work and really lost all my motivation because of the type of school I was dealing with so I thought about just dropping out. Thats when the program chair told me not to worry about making it to class, that he would talk to my instructors to make sure I got passing grades, infact I even had instructors give me credit for being there when I wasnt there. In fact they show me as being in class on days when I was out on military training. On multiple occasions one of my teachers even brought her 7-8 yr old son to class with her because she didnt have a babysitter.

There was a time when I had issues being scheduled in to the wrong classes, never did I meet a registrar which is to handle all the attendance and scheduling... they had a Financial Aid person doing my schedule.

I filed a complaint in June 5, 2012, a few weeks later the Campus President forwarded my complaint to the corporate office following his investigation and never officially gave me a response. Currently, the corporate office has been looking into my complaint for the last 4 month. A few times they said they were close to having an answer for me and now they wont even reply to my emails.

Im pretty sure there are many who have had good experiences at ITT and Im sure it varies from campus to campus but for me, the ITT campus in Corona,Ca was a nightmare. I might not have all the proof in the world to back it up but they are not about education. They are about numbers and pushing people through the program and taking their money. Due your homework, definitely not worth what they are charging.
