I purchased 3 emeralds from Ivan, none of which appraised for the amount I even paid for them. I had GIA appraisers appraise the Gems. Thus, I sent them back to Ivan asking him to re-sell them to someone else and get my money back.
Ivan had a personal friend of his appraise two of the Emeralds for an astounding amount. one 2.56 ct for $6,780. My GIA appraisal was for $586.00 .. Ivan sold this gem on March 22, 2011 for a measly $200 and I am still trying to get the money he owes me. I paid way more than $500 for this gem, he had no right to sell it so cheaply. We had no agreement on this!
Never send Ivan something to sell for you and expect to get your money back. He is a liar, cheat, and is totally dishonest. His gems are not worth $1,500 Retail appraisal as he states.
I have tried to get ebay to help me with this problem, but to no avail. The problem is more than 3 months old.
I also filed an Internet Fraud Charge against Ivan .. aka .. The stone Giant, but have heard nothing regarding this issue as of yet.
Consumer beware of this site. There should be some way to shut him down for False Advertising. I just have not been able to find the answer yet.
I do have photos to validate the appraisals of gems I purchased from Ivan, if anyone would like verification of what I have stated. I have nothing to hide.
Open to any suggestions from anyone who has encountered problems with this seller.
