J. Bird Construction Never paid their subcontractors and stole $9,000 from us Houston Texas

Absolutely horrible. Took them six months to do a sloppy job before we got tired of trying to convince them to adequately do the work we paid them to do. On top of that, they never paid the electricians who redid our wiring (even though we paid the contractors in full) so the electricians wound up filing a lien on our house. Contractors keep claiming the check to the electricians got lost in the mail...for months. Just when you think you're done dealing with them, you hit another annoying (and unprofessional) snag. Refuse to return our calls regarding their outstanding balance with the electricians, which is infuriating both for us and their unpaid subcontractor. Very unprofessional and disappointing experience. Would strongly advise against using them.

Then we got a notice that not only did they neglect to pay the electricians, but they also did not pay the plumbers. Both the electrician and the plumber took a lien out on our house, and we now owe an extra $9,000 to them, which we're having to pay out-of-pocket to prevent them from moving forward with foreclosing on our house through the lien. Worst possible experience. They still refuse to return our calls, even after they essentially stole $9,000 from us.
