I received a letter stating that I won the second catagory of the Consumer's Reward Program Lottery held on May 16, 2008. It mentioned my ticket number and the winning numbers. This letter stated that I won $39,000.00, my portion of a total prize of $480,000.00. With this letter was a "FAKE" check with the name Wells Fargo Bank and OFFICIAL CHECK on it in the amount of $3,950.00.

The letter goes on to say that this is an advance so I may pay the applicable Tax on my prize. I am to contact Sam Goldberg or Yvonne Hanson at 1-905-598-6579 as soon as I receive this notification and that all prizes must be claimed by July 11, 2008.

I called Wells Fargo Bank and they have no record of this supposed check.
