The U.S. Justice Department has filed civil injunction suits against five Jackson Hewitt Tax Service franchises that operate more than 125 retail Jackson Hewitt stores in four cities--Chicago, Atlanta, Raleigh-Durham NC, and Detroit. The lawsuits allege that these Jackson Hewitt franchises have engaged in various types of improper conduct.
