Jackson Memorial Hospital ripoff Miami Florida
*Consumer Comment: Seek help at state representatives office
A five minutes visit to the Emergency Room, resulting in seeing a physician's asst., not a medical doctor, as a result of a toothache, having been given two pain killers and sent home resulted in a bill of over $450; and, a doctor's bill, whom I never saw, for almost $300.

Your situation is a common one happens on a daily basis due to the high cost of dental care.
In Oregon we have developed a clinic for emergency care for dental pain. Call your state representative/Congressman and tell your story stand up for what you know is true. Dental issues should be considered medical because a tooth that is infected? Can cause death if the infection breaks into the blood system. Call your dental society and make it clear you had no access to dental/medical care The only way we change the current health care problem is to stand up and have a voice. The representatives are there to serve the public thats why we elect them. Bring the issue to the fore front. Try to find a dentist that takes payments. But in the meantime stand up and let your voice be heard locally it is a silent problem that people turn a deaf ear too. One person can make a change. If they are heard make them listen Debbie from Oregon dental care community advocate
