Jacksonville Chrysler Jeep Dodge lied, stole, cheat, Jacksonville Florida

My lease on a 2006 Dodge was up so I came to the dealership to see what we can workout. We sat and played the stupid (but effective for them) negotiation game where the salesperson writes a price on a piece of paper, sends shows it to you, you negotiate it down, he humms and haws and tells you he'll try his best to get the boss to agree.

My initial stipulation at the beggining of the negotiation was that they take the expiring lease as-is, not leaving me with overmileage fees etc. They immediately agreed.

After negotiatings and finally agreeing on a price I again mentioned the trade-in this time they thought I should pay for the overmileage (less than $500).

I said this is a deal breaker - take it or leave it. After another half-hour of my "worthless" time they agreed and we spent the nexrt hour or so signing papers.

Several weeks later I start getting phone calls from Chrsler Financial saying I owe money for the mileage! I told them that the dealership would pay for it. Well several weeks go by and they call again.

So I call the salesperson and he says he will take care of it. Several weeks later I get another phone call, so I call the saleseperson again, this time he says I should have Chrysler Financial fax him the invoice which I did immediately. Several weeks later I call the salesperson again but he is not available. So I speak to the lady handling the paperwork and she makes it clear that nowhere in my contract does it even mention anything about paying for the mileage and they would see if Chrysler Fiancial could wave it for me. I shared my frustrations her with as politely as I could.

Then I received a call from the salesperson giving me attitude for "shouting" at he women who is pregnant he tells me. "She is your biggests ally here" he says. This coming form the mouth of the guy who first made the deal with me, looked in my eyes and shook my hand! When I told him how upset I was that he lied to me and was stealing my money he said "well there must have been some sort of miscommunication . . . "

No apologies at best screwing up, perhaps lying and cheating. He tells me that he is upset at me for complaining!

I know I am the fool who didnt review all the paperwork but after sitting in a dealership for 8 hours of frustration and repeatedly assured of the agreement I never expected such a well advertised dealership to be so neglectful or thieving. Even if I had read the paperwork I am no attorney and cant make heads or tails of what they say.

My attorney friend has suggested I file a lawsuit. He says that based on the above and some other factors I have a solid case.
