James M. Brophy III, D.D.S And Associates Ripoff/Terrible Service: Dentist Office Waukegan Illinois

My wife went to a this dentist office shortly after we moved to Waukegan, IL. I am in the Navy and I go to the base for my dental needs. But my wife has to go to a dentist out in town and James M. Brophy III, D.D.S. is the denist she choose because it is nearby our house.

She went in there in December of 2005 and after informing the person at the front desk that she was pregnant, they told her that they couldn't look at her.

After we mis-carried, my wife, who was still in pain because of a wisdom tooth, went to a dentist in nearby Gurnee and had excellent service.

About a month after the visit to James M. Brophy III's dentist office we received a bill from the office for $65. My wife called them to find out why we were getting a bill and they informed her that it was an office visit fee. She asked why she had to pay anything, after all she never made it past the waiting room, and they said she had to pay.

I refused to pay and month after month I received a bill. Finally in late March 2006 I received a bill stating that if we did not pay within the next month that the bill would be turned over to collections. I didn't want my credit hurt by this dentist office so I paid the $65.

I mean $65 is not much compared to most of the scams and ripoffs on this website but I feel it was terrible customer service that we should have to pay $65 and not even have someone open her mouth and tell her what was wrong.

My wife and I have talked with several other customers that have gone there and said how bad the customer service was there and that they would not go back.

AVOID THIS DENTIST AT ALL COSTS!!! There are several dentist offices in Waukegan and nearby towns. Just don't do to this one.
