Jamie Turney On The Spot On the spot repair On the Spot repair did not locate the leak or provide the customer service and or satisfaction as advertised. Keller, Texas

I was referred to Mr. Jamie Turney of "On the Spot" to locate a water pipe leak at my rental property. He claimed that they had highly sophisticated leak detection equipment and could pinpoint the location of the leak for me.

On 03/07/2009, his assistant Brian came out to the property and within 30 minutes marked the spot of the leak with a couple of twigs stuck in the ground. He told me that he's certain the leak in just below the marked spot.

When my assistant and I arrived to repair the leak, we dug up the marked area approximately 4 feet square and 2 feet deep of where the leak was supposed to be. There was no water pipe anywhere near that location.

I contacted Mr. Jamie Turney to ask where the leak was detected and he had Brian call me back and confirm that we were digging in the right location. When I informed him there was no water pipe or source of leak at that point and asked if he could come out again to find it, he told me that he would charge me another $175.

He stated the reason he could not accurately locate the leak was because the water could not be shut off; which he was aware of before the service was rendered. I had to call the City of Watauga shut off the water and repair the valve which they did.

At no time did Brian of (On The Spot Repair) inform me either before, during or after that not being able to shut the water off would be a problem locating the leak correctly. After Mr. Turney's refusal to stand behind his work and guarantee, my assistant and I found and repaired the leak ourselves which took us several hours to accomplish. The leak was 8 feet away from any waterpipe. 

Due to Mr. Turney and Brian of On The Spot Repair's lack of customer service and unwillingness to honor their guarantee, I requested a refund of the full amount of $175 that I paid for their services which was not provided and agreed upon or advertised.

To date, I have not received a reply or refund and have filed a complaint with the BBB & the Texas State Attorney General.
