TO ANYONE CONSIDERING BUYING FROM JANDA: I have been researching exotics for months and months and just found myself drawn to Janda. Ashley did a great job put info out there on her site actually its one of the best websites for exotic breeders. She has some of the cutest animals.
When I first contacted her she called back within a few hours to answer all my questions. Though I wanted a kinkajou (which is how I found her page) one on her page my wife fell in love with the mini pig zeba. I put the deposit down in January as a surprise to my wife (February is both our birthdays, anniversary, and of course Valentines Day).
I never heard from Ashley about the deposit and attempted to call again because I had further questions about mini pigssupplies to buy etcThen about two weeks later my wife called me to tell me Zeba was available again on the website (she said sold after I put deposit downand my wife didnt know we had purchased her so she was excited, wanting me to purchase her)I immediately called Ashleyand Ashley was great about calling back within a few minutes to reassure
me there was a problem with the site and I was still the future owner we spoke about shipping dates and Ashley explained that it would take a while to have Zeba fixed because she is soooooo small.I asked if I could just pay the breeder price and have her shipped right away. Ashley said yes and I told her I would pay that night. I paid that nightAND NEVER HEARD FROM HER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I left numerous voice mails, I sent numerous emails, I tried contacting her at the Janda Facebook page, her personal Facebook page, and her husbands page.NOTHING. For 18 days she left me high and dry and without a present for my wife for our anniversary and her birthday.
Meanwhile, I thought since she had good reviews from other customers nothing bad came up etc etc maybe something happened to her so I tried to be patientbut I had a few friends from different states contact her with bogus questions and she got back with them.
Then after 18 days I get a refund in my account. No email, no explanation, nothing. I had to open a complaint with the Better Business Bureau a few days before we even received the refund.
My wife and I feel very strongly about helping out what the Bible calls the least in this world--Those who are suffering or just poor etc. We gave over $12000 away last year to missions work, sponsoring children in other countries, etcwe signed my rights over on my house and bought a camper to live in so we could make this possible. This would have been one thing we splurged on for ourselves and we now have nothingexcept $100 worth of supplies I bought for a pig I dont have.
Her sight says she cares only about her animals not the money and that you will not find buy it now buttons all over the sitebut you will find pay deposit buttons on the sitethe deposit buttons supposedly lock in your pricebut that price lock is only you price. There is no reasonable explanation for what Ashley did to usexcept that maybe she realized she could get a lot more money for zeba because she was sooo small when she was expected to be bigger.
If she over sold, made a mistake, whateverfineshe is humanbut how hard is it to communicate that? This was just wrong. I had to break the surprise to my wife so she knew I was doing somethingand now my wife is soo depressed
because we arent getting zeba. When I had a feeling this would probably be the outcome we went to other sites to look at other mini pigs and my wife simply didnt want another pig. Thanks Ashley! Seriouslyfor nothing!

As the owner of Janda Exotics, I absolutley am committed to my customers and animals. As an update to this report, all of the clients money was returned. I apologized for not being available, I do try to keep myself available at all times. This is certinaly not a reflection of my good business practices. I do understnad how nervous it can make someone to purchase anything online, I do my best to accommodate everyone. Please email me if you have questions or concerns. Unfortunately, Ashley has had some health issues and has refunded all of my money. The issues previously mentioned were out of her control and while the transaction was not able to be completed as I wanted, I feel confident others can purchase through her and be blessed with the addition of one of her animals.
