Jane's canines Dog boarding, grooming, day care new owner! beware!!!! Leawood kansas

 Please do your research before you come here. Jane Bradshaw no longer owes Jane's.  A guy with ZERO animal experience owns it now. Young guy, fresh out the military. While I thank him for his service, he is not qualified to run a pet care business. We also just found out that our groomer no longer works here.  We found this out AFTER they had someone else groom my mother's dog. And did a VERY poor job. Suddenly the receptionist is a groomer??? They certainly do not value experience here, that is for sure!  They actually made a choice, about HER dog WITHOUT consulting her. Let me share what I learned after some research and asking around. Several dogs have been injured in daycare. Hurt paws from the chain link. Injuries to the face due to fighting. One owner i spoke with speculated over crowding in small pens as the cause. I know those pens get very rowdy. My mom and I often commented that thank god her dog only went there for grooming.  One boarding dog lost, (recovered after over a week in horrible weather and John was of zero assistance. And get this, wouldn't refund the owners boarding fees!! Yup, you read that correctly) one adopt a pet dog lost (hit by a car and killed) and a Great Dane who was being fostered there, supposedly to be trained, has since disappeared off the planet. Dog beds sent home with fecal matter on them. Suspicions that dogs were not fed/watered according to instructions. I'm sure there is more. I just couldn't stomach digging any deeper. I also learned that John lives in Lawrence KS, (quite the drive in case of an emergency) and refuses to work weekends to make sure boarding dogs are cared for properly. I cant speak for everyone, but random unsupervised high school kids aren't qualified to take care of my dog. Especially when you look at what he charges here! I hate to say this, but Jane's Canines has become a very shady place. Too many good places out there to risk bringing your baby here.
