 This is a letter recently emailed and sent certified after Jani-King refused to let me cancel within my rights. I was a customer for 2 years and 2 months. They have raised my price for cleaning the past 2 months WITHOUT my knowledge and stated that our contract auto-renewed on our anniversary date. What a joke.

We have tried to work with jani-king even though service has been well under par, even changed crews several times during our contract as they suggested, to better ensure our cleaning service. It NEVER got better.

I have finally threw in the straw and decided to cancel. I have gotten the run around and made to feel like my 40+ pictures i have taken of our dirty office AFTER they have cleaned, don't matter. Not to mention my multiple emails that have gone back and forth with the service department over this period of time. [continued below]....


This company lies, cheats and steals your money thinking if they keep changing the cleaning crews out the service should improve. IT DOESN'T! Everytime i have to change a crew and give them a code to my office, that is opening me up for more trouble than they are worth!

Stay away from Jani-King.


My letter.....

"I wanted you to be aware of our cancellation with Jani-King. You are aware of the issues we have had in the past with changing crews, unsatisfactory cleaning, missing belongings, etc. Most recently a price increase without knowledge of such. This is the letter that was sent certified to your local office with attached pictures and various emails…."


"October 6, 2014


            This email is to notify Jani-King of the intent to cancel your services with our company, Statewide Remodeling.

Our contract ended in August 2014. Not only have we not signed a new contract or agreed to new pricing but Jani-King has increased our price without notice starting August 2014. We tried to cancel during 2013 but were told that we should try changing crews versus cancelling, so we kept up with the contract. Since the original agreement Statewide has gone through 3 cleaning crews. Statewide Remodeling has not signed anything since original contract in August of 2012.

            On multiple occasions Statewide Remodeling has had personal belongings missing from offices such as a $500 visa gift card from our vice presidents office. (this was brought to the attention of your operations manager, Adrian Wnukowski). We have had several incidents where the offices and/or bathrooms have not been cleaned per the agreement. Pictures were submitted to the operations manager, Adrian Wnukowski and our cleaning crew along with multiple text messages. He has been out to survey the cleaning performance on several occasions to find that the performance was unsatisfactory.

            Monday, October 6th, I called your local office to cancel our contract and was told I needed to submit, in writing, a certified letter. At that time I was also told that I was in a new contract NOT a month to month term. I am willing to finish out the month of October 2014 since we have already paid the monthly (increased) invoice. I am terminating my business with Jani-King as of November 1, 2014 with nothing owed.


Statewide Remodeling will be filing a BBB complaint about the nature of services provided by cleaning crew and office administration. We will also be filing a complaint to the FTC (Federal Trade Commission) since Jani-King failed to perform the agreed upon duties and responsibilities stated in the contract.


I will follow up with a phone call in the next few days if I have not heard from someone with your establishment.
