As I was just about to purchase a puppy today, to pick up from the Cabezas, I ran a Yahoo search and came up with this site and other Florida reports on their mis-dealings with other consumers buying sick puppies, false registrations, and their improper business practices. I believe they are the same people who have now located in Conroe Texas and are advertising adorable Havanese puppies on these 2 sites:

They are under the names of Mon Ami Puppies and Carribe and Caribe puppies.
They offer 3 year health guarantees and seemed to be reputable, however, if these previous reports are on the same people, then I was fooled.
I just had done a search for any information on the breeders and came up with the various negative reports on them, otherwise I would never have known and possibly would have suffered the heart break that many of the previous consumers have suffered.

Former pet store owner must pay restitution
SARASOTA - The former owner of several Suncoast pet stores was in court Friday.
Janice Lee Cabezas, 51, entered a plea of no contest to charges of scheming to defraud. A Sarasota County Circuit Court Judge placed her on five years probation and ordered her to pay approximately $21,000 in restitution to some of her former customers.
Cabezas was the owner and operator of the Puppy Shoppe locations in Venice, Bradenton and North Port. A handful of customers went to law enforcement officials after they purchased dogs from Cabezas' shops that died.
Some of those former customers were in court on Friday.
"It was a victory in there for us, even though we didn't succeed in getting Janice banned from the pet industry for life," says Mary Ellen Whitehead.
The defendant's attorney had a different take on Friday's sentencing.
"There are hundreds of allegation being thrown around and literally 99 percent of them are false," said lawyer Donald Grieco.
Cabezas recently moved to Texas from the Suncoast, so the judge ordered that she serves her five years probation there. The pet shop owner was first arrested in October 2004 on charges of obtaining animals without having the proper medical paperwork.
Those charges were eventually dropped but Cabezas was re-arrested and charged with scheming to defaud in April 2005.

You are ABSOLUTELY right! These ARE indeed the same people and I'm VERY proud of you for doing a little investigative work BEFORE you went ahead and bought a puppy from them! Trust me when I say you have saved yourself a lot of heartache as well as Vet bills!
Janice Cabezas is about to be sentenced on the felony charges in Florida which is why she fled to Texas, so please check back for updates. I will be posting them as they happen!
Be proud of yourself for not becoming another one of their victims!
