Janis makes her money from all the women who pay her ridiculous fees to be a possible match.

The guys she has on her rolodex, no woman on match.com would even be interested in. So if you want to pay her $700 to be possibly matched with a potbellied 60 year old who is foolish enough to shell out big bucks because that's the only way to get a date, go right ahead. 

I have heard from people who know her that, indeed, she is a person without a conscience.  She is also a financially struggling person- not the polished, sophistcated lady with great connections that she sells herself to be.

Think about this LOGICALLY: why on earth, with the internet accessible to everyone, would any goodlooking, successful guy pay to meet women through this woman, who doesn't even have an office? all her meetings are at starbucks, etc...

Reputable matchmakers at least have an office.
