Jason Melvin - Deadbeat and Creep. Evicted and skipped on $3000 in rent and damages Clearwater Florida

After moving in, Jason Melvin got two unauthorized roomates and within a couple of months started paying rent late and shortly thereafter stopped paying rent altogether. After we started eviction proceedings, he and his roomates started a campaign of abusive and threatening behavior toward us along with bogus charges of everything you can think of. They verbally abused us both by E-mail and in person, once in front of a prospective tenant. They called the building and health depts., who found nothing wrong.

But Melvin still tried still tried to argue a ridiculous charge of toxic mold and failed to post the rent with the court. When we got a summary judgement, they left a day before the sheriff came, leaving the front door open to the street. The apartment was littered with junk, there were numerous holes in the walls and ceilings and in general the apartment was a grimy mess.

Additionally, we had numerous complaints from our other tenants about constant late night partying and Melvin's guests taking their reserved parking spots.

All told, Jason Melvin screwed us for $3000+ in rent and damages to our property and put us through months of hell. Do not rent to this bum under any circumstances.

We do not know exactly where he is now, but he is probably still in the Tampa Bay area, most likely Clearwater.
