You may not think 4-5 lbs of marijuana is "not that much". It certainly is a higher amount than what a casual user may carry around. That much in possession may not "be that much" for a Mexican drug lord, but it is at least enough for a small time drug dealer.

I personally don't want my kids buying weed from a scum drug dealer nor do I want to help fund a drug cartel that results in nameless people getting killed every year in multiple countries (US, Mexico, Columbia).

If you want to smoke it, grow your own and don't help fund an industry that sells to kids and funds a very violent industry.

You may also not want to have it in your house or have your kids exposed to it - not the best example.
