My husband and I went to a weekend seminar and heard a lively, well dressed man named Jason Rodriguez. He said that he had mastered the art of wholesaling and that he is now teaching his skills learned. He said that he and his team of mentors would hold us by the hand and walk us through the whole process. He spoke of several success stories and an internet challenge that did, which helped a man make thousands in a week.

Jason said that everything that we would need would be provided and guaranteed that we would be able to make $100,000 in the first 90 days. Jason also said that we would have trained VA's who would find us private lenders, sellers, and build our buyers list....making this too easy. Said that if we followed what he said we would have our phone ringing off the hook, and more leads than we knew what to do with; at least a hundred.

My husband and I had been searching for awhile for the mentor that would work for us. We thought that this was a no brainer because of all the promises given. We put down all we had in our account, and within a few weeks we put down a total of $12,000, owing the remaining $13,000 before the mentor would come to our home. When we joined we told them this is all we have and that we HAD to make this work because we have a three year old son. We were told that this was a fool proof plan and that we will make our money back and become wealthy with the tools and techniques taught to us by Jason.

We were under the impression that we would be apart of Jason's team and would have access to him for support, and a team of mentors that specialized in several different fields would help, but later learned that we got one mentor assigned to us, Jason's email went to his office aids, and the VA's were only available after we paid the whole $25,000.

It took us almost an entire month to get our material, and when it came it was put together sloppy and basically the same thing we heard for free at the three day seminar, with the exception of some foot notes and examples of letters or flyers used.

We were told to spend as much money as we could to market, which was tough for us because we spent all we had for the mentorship. Our mentor made us feel like we were not doing enough because we were not able to come up with $2,000 to do a mass marketing project. We later learned that a lot of the marketing could have been done for free. We tried to speak to our assigned mentor but he would never answer our questions clearly, or was very rude to me. He was pushy and hard for me to deal with.

We kept trying to get new marketing strategies that we could use online (like promised), and get help with the techniques we were using already. We had several calls with our mentor, several of which he set up in our back office without letting us know about them, so we missed some of them. Later he tried to make it seem like we were not dedicated to the program because of it.

I spoke to Jason's office about the situation and they had me agree to talk to our mentor about it, and I was willing to until I tried to get an answer from him in an email about a marketing issue. It took about four emails, and I wasn't any closer to an answer than I was when I first asked it, and he was being disrespectful as usual. I decided I couldn't speak to him and we asked to get a new mentor, but were told no. I didn't like this answer because I felt it to be impossible to learn from someone that I could no longer talk to because of how he treated me.

We later heard of another student who was able to get a new mentor and started the program over, so we asked the office again to switch mentors. After several weeks of discussing the issue they agreed to change mentors, and to give us three sessions with him. We tried to get them to let us start over because we wouldn't be able to get much out of three sessions with a new mentor because one session would be getting to know us and talk about what we have been doing in the program. I was done with this company and said I wanted my money back, and even agreed to take the six months as a loss and get the remaining six months refunded...giving us back $6,000 of the $12,000 paid. They said Jason said no refunds and no starting over with the program...Once he finally got back from his vacation.

We went several weeks before we would ever hear anything from them, and I had to continuously call or email just to get them to give us an answer. After our last talk with the office about our situation, we started to talk to the other students that we knew who signed up. None of the students that we spoke to had any luck with the mentor program and non had made a single deal after about six months of signing up. We heard that Jason contacted students who later partnered up with Investors who were actually making money in the business, and was trying to get them to steal buyer's lists from the other investors.

My husband and I feel that we were taken for a ride and that Jason took advantage of us and all the other people who were unfortunately enough to sign up. We never got any real support or any real information. Everything he had to offer he presented in his FREE seminars and online. I don't see any information that was exclusively held back for us (with the exception of the letters), or that has changed my business.

The examples of the post cards and letters used, we never got anything out of them. We were told that it must be the way we were presenting the information, even though we copied it right out of the book. We were told that the color of the envelope, stamp used, font, and way the address appeared needed to look a certain way for different markets. When I tried to get the specific information I needed for the market I was sending my post cards to, I always got the run around and told to just send them out that we would eventually get someone.

When I sent an email for a copy of my receipt, I got a notice of the $13,000 outstanding balance. I do not feel like I owe any money to him, but instead feel like I should get my money back. I got six months of mentoring, and really only five because it took a month to get started. This man is a snake and should go to jail for what he has done to his students. My biggest regret is that I gave him a great testimonal right after we signed up. I thought this was going to be the thing that helped change our lives and really liked how he presented himself. If I could take anything back it would be that decision right there, bceause knowing that my testimonal could sucker someone else into this is the worst feeling ever...
