SCAM ALERT! Jay Smet email jay.smet.54@gmail.com and phone number 808-333-7582 is a scam artists. He runs fake handyman services and will contract out work to other companies at an inflated rate or, if he can, take money up front and do no work. He's been doing this for years as can be proven. He claims he is a door restorer, handyman and painter but really he is just a con man.

I lived at Kenwood and Hacket for a month and my property was stolen, Jay Smet claimed he never received rent, and then he kicked me out. I'm not hopeful of any resolution. This guy has a million address (just put his name into Pipl) and judging by comments on review sites he has been scamming for years.

He's had over half a dozen LLC's that go bankrupt and he sets new businesses. He scams people from his location. He's a 34 year old bartender who pretends to be running a home restoration company. Some of his past failures include (all dissolved) College Pro Painters, EcoPainters/Eco Painters, Retro Home Services and Door Restorers. Oh he also ran an illegal straw company called "Jays Pudgy Frozen Treats" (judgments against that company available online as well) and advertises himself out publicly for hookups on Couch Surfing: https://www.couchsurfing.com/users/1492479

DO NOT CALL THIS MAN FOR RENTING! STAY AWAY! BE WARNED! A BIG CLUE IS ALL THE MULTIPLE POSTINGS THAT GO UP AND DOWN! After meeting the guy I'm surprised he can use a keyboard. Oh and strange people kept coming at the house when I lived there: scary, want to hurt you people. NOT A GOOD SIGN!
