I may have damaged company equiptment in the process of doing my job but they did not meet the DOT's definition of what an accident is..I was involved in "3"..2 were on an intermodal/railyard and the third was on the open road..the first 2 were minor incidents(1)overshot the kingpin because the chassis was sitting to high(did not want to drive up front and request help from a yard jockey to move it since I could not get to the landing gear handle..
I was short on hrs and it happened once before and took 2hrs for a driver to show)bowed the skirting or back fairing out..(2)blew a tyre on the Jersey wall trying to go thru the Portal..I bent the rim and lost the air..no damage to the tyre..I took a a turn to go thru the portal but 2-trucks were parked and blocked my turn somewhat..
I took the turn wide but my trlr did not turn back as I did(another JB driver told me to always check where your trlr/chassis is because they are dire need of maintenance;Dog tracks(3)I really do not know what happened..my "DM" said I cut a person off while in line to go thru a toll booth and I also side swipped a toll booth..Really..I wouldn't let a 4-wheeler in..I was in the center lane and he was in the rite lane but the booth was closed with a big red "X"on it

Laughable!

By your own admission, YOU damaged company equipment, not once but multiple times. The story about trailers being cranked up too high is equally laughable. How can you NOT reach the crank? Even with trailers parked close together, you can get in there and start cranking!
I've done it MANY TIMES in 20+ years of driving! Their dismissal of you was right on target. You have an excuse for every case of damage YOU CAUSED.
