Joe Adams of the former Americas Home Movers 866-425-4567 contracted with me for a full service move on 4/6/07 at 11:13am, took deposit for $720. Schedule move date for 5/15/07 at 0700. On 5/15/07 he sent Eran Rozental of Moving Seagull 832-889-9445 cell to pack and load my belongings. They arrived on time, began loading my things, and were finished with the loading at 3pm. They told me they were taking my things to storage and would deliver them within 7 days after me giving them a delivery address. I then gave Eran a check made out to Moving Seagull for $1639.00 for the remainder of the deliver, totalling $2359.00, even though the total for my move was supposed to be no more than $3400, the remainder being due upon deliver.

After securing an address in San Francisco, CA, I phone Joe Adams to coordinate the rest of my move. On July 23, I made initial phone contact with Mr. Adams who said that he would be able to deliver my belongings no later than the August 5th . The remainder of the next week I was unable to reach him by phone or email, and no deliver arrived.

I reached the office on 7/5/07 and Joe Adams reported to me that there were issues with the truck availability and he would get the things loaded and shipped out in the next week. For the next 5 weeks straight, it was the repeat of this scenario. I would schedule the delivery, I was given the name of the "driver", Mr. Rozental, and even spoke to him several times. I have phone records and documentation of all of this. I have even recorded several of the conversations and there were several messages I have saved from Mr. Rozental.

Finally, after some investigations, I found that Americas Home Movers had gone out of business in July, and Joe Adams was still working as a moving broker, but had failed to disclose that AHM had gone under. He continued to discuss my move with me as though he was conducting business as AHM. I also found that he was representing JB Van Lines in TN. I asked him about this after discussing the situation with Max Bohabana who resides in FL. He is the former owner of Americas Home Movers. He told me that "Joe Adams is a liar, crook" and that if they have my things, then I should "kiss them goodbye". I mentioned that I would report him to the authorities and he told me "go f*** yourself" and hung up the phone.

Joe Adams continued to answer the phone number of Americas Home Movers, avoided any discussion with me, failed to return ANY of my phone calls, messages left with people, and until September, did not even have an answering machine or service at all. For the entire month of September, I worked to find my belongings which Mr. Rozental had placed in storage in NC at the 620 E. Club Blvd, Durham, NC location. I spoke to the manager, Bevery Grinds, and she informed me that she could not release my things to me directly since the storage unit was rented by Mr. Rozental personally, not in a business name. I eventually contacted him, and he refused to release my things to me. Several other moving companies were attempting to get my things from the storage unit but did not have authorization to receive them so they were turned away.

Eventually Eran Rozental released my things to me and I contracted with Target Van Lines to coordinate my move. Sky Moving and Storage took my request for an expedited move to be delivered NO LATER THAN 10/7/07 and negotiated a $2000 surcharge for the expedited move above the already high $3905 and they failed to perform to complete their contract as well. Please see additional reports on Sky Moving and Storage, Target Van Lines, and Genesis Moving and Storage.
