On May 21, 2011, I stopped by the lot of J and D Auto Sales located at 3100 N.W. 27th Avenue with a friend of mine and after being subjected to extremely high pressure sales tactics, I  did purchase a 2006 Infiniti FX 35.

I traded in my 2002 Mitsubishi XXX   XXX which I owned free and clear and gave an additional cash payment of $4700. I had asked if I could pay the $4700 in the form of a bank cashiers check but the salesman, who gave his name as "John" insisted the only form of payment they would accept was U.S. Currency "CASH"

While at the dealership I observed a customer walking in with a bucket that was full of U.S. Currency. (cash)

After signing a credit application they said I was approved for financing and that my payment would be $506.50 per month for 30 months.

I gave them the registration to the license plate on my 2002 Mitsubishi, and they transferred the plate to the 2006 Infiniti FX-35.

On May 27, 2011, I received a letter from Premier Partners telling me the loan was assigned to them and they included 30 dated coupon slips and the letter stated  I was to make a payment of $506.50 per month on the 20th of each month for 30 months.

On Friday, June 17th, at approx. 6:30pm in the early evening hours I went out to use my car to pick up my 4 year old daughter; I discovered my car was stolen. A neighbor told me he had seen a tow truck take my car away a few minutes earlier.

I was able to reach "John" at J and D Auto Sales and he told me they had taken my car back because Premier Partners had changed their mind and were not going to fund my loan to them. He said to come down to his dealership and he would sell me another car. I told him I wanted my 2002 Mitsubishi back and a complete refund of the cash I had given to him and he laughed at me and hung up the phone.

I went to the DMV and I was informed that the dealership had sold and transferred the title of my Mitsubishi to a new owner. I also was informed that I am listed as the owner of the 2006 Infiniti FX-35 and that J and D Auto Sales has now listed themselves as the lienholder illegally.

It is illegal for any dealership to sell a car traded in by a private party until the transaction has been completed when a finance contract and a new purchase is involved.

I have never received any registered or certified letter from either this dealership or the finance company.

I signed a finance contract for Premier Partners when at the dealership making this purchase but did not sign a contract with anyone else for financing.

Furthermore I went directly to Premier Partners on June 20th, 2011 on W. Hillsboro Blvd with a Bank Cashier's Check from Atlantic Bank for my 1st payment of $506.5 and my #1 of 30 payment coupons.

At first my check & coupon was accepted by a clerk at the front desk and a few minutes later a gentleman walked out and handed my check back to me. He was very elusive and did not want to give his full name. He said his 1st name was Bill. He said they decided to not finance this car because the dealership had turned in some conflicting information on my finance application.

When my car was taken the following was in my car.

My Laptop HP Computer and carrying case with charger and extra battery.

Two Panasonic Digital Cameras, my school books

The dealer never called me nor sending me my belongings that were in the car.

I am deeply concerned that this dealership with their dishonest and unscrupulous method of doing business will prey on other innocent victims and will either go out of business soon or will go unchecked until a State or Local law enforcement agency puts a stop to their fradulent methods.

I am a single, minority hard working Mother trying to raise my daughter and earn an honest living.

This dealership is relatively new and has only been licensed as a used car dealership at this location since September, 2010. I have learned that there are other complaints against this dealer.  I would suggest all car buyers out there to stay away from this dealership.
