My daughter's first experience with getting a used car is turning out to be a really bad situation. She traded in her previous vehicle and the salesman "picked" a car for her. They first took down her financial information, and they told her they based the car's price on her income. What she now found out is the car is only worth $2,300 and Cnac financed her for $15,000 in the total cost. I could not believe they did this to my daughter, this was her very first experience getting a car, she's a college student and new mother. The people at Cnac have called all the people on her reference list and have harrassed them, telling them threatening things and then telling them to call my daughter and give her the message. Then they would call her after they harrassed everyone else.
In hindsight, I wished I was not sick the day she looked at the car and was conned by the slick salesman, and slick Cnac people. To make things worse, the first thing I noticed about the car right after she got it, the engine shook, it vibrated the whole car, and they told her she can just bring it back and their mechanic would fix it, well, she's taken it there once, and when she got it back, there was no change. It's been a few months now and she still has the engine problem with it shaking.
It makes me absolutely sick knowing that once these people had my daughter's signature on the paperwork, it looks as if she's stuck with a car that has engine problems, they knew she was a college student and worked part-time, I don't get how they figure she was able to afford a $15,000 car on her income plus having a baby to deal with and college.
