JDA Progress Industries JDA Packaging and Processing Equipment, Sell machines that don't work and then don't honor the warranty Concord, Ontario Canada

We purchased a filling machine from JDA Progress. It seemed odd that they didn't accept credit cards and only accepted wire transfers, but I figured that since they are in Canada that I was pretty safe. This was a $5,000 machine, mind you. They showed us a video of the machine filling water into our containers, but our actual product is a thick gel. We told them it was a thick gel but at the time we didn't have any of it to send them, so they just ran it with water. Any machine works with water. They GUARANTEED that it would work with our gel. Right from the beginning we had problem even getting any gel to flow through it. They told us to make many modifications to it, which we did. We eventually got the gel to flow through it, but the problem is that every time we pressed the pedal we were expecting to get uniform amounts of gel, but we would always get different amounts. Their response was that they couldn't help us and when I asked to return the machine Mike Pietrangelo, who is a very nasty and obviously uneducated guy, hung up on me. I would recommend not buying anything from this company because you don't know what you are going to get and they don't stand behind their product.
