I have been harassed by CNAC for months , everytime a person , that I know, doesnt make their payment. Now I owe CNAC NOTHING. YEsterday, they called my 14 year old grand daughter at her home, my 83 year old mother in law at her home, and woke me up AGAIN this morning after I told them to remove my name. They tell me Please tell (insert name here) That his payment is late! I spoke to the manager this morning and he said they did not call all three people, yet all 3 have it on their caller ID. I am on the DNC list. I told them several times to STOP. I have contacted the Attorney General this morning and I wish EVERYONE would contact your Attorney General and the newspaper and the BBB until this predatory, lawbreaking company stops!

A simple solution to your problem is quite simple...Advise your friends or relatives that they signed a contract stating they would pay in full and on time, therefore if he or she would pay their bills on time or call CNAC when they have an inability to pay the need to contact a third party would not be necessary. The only reason CNAC would begin to contact references (that the customer provided I might add) is if the customer was ignoring phone calls and messages left by the collector.
Your information was provided to CNAC by the person whom they are trying to contact; if you have a problem with your information being provided or used for contact purposes, then focus your anger towards them for giving your information without your permission. Don't forget to mention THAT fact when you contact the Attorney General, and you could also file a police report against the individual who provided your contact and personal information. Are you going to look into that as well? It seems only fair that if you are upset by these phone calls and your information being shared without your permission that you would also file a complaint or charges against THAT guilty party as well.
CNAC was given written permission to contact you and whoever else was listed as a reference. Nowhere in the contract does it state that the references would not be contacted.
