 In December 2014 my fiance and I hired a wedding planner for February 7th 2015. My fiance is a Marine and by our favorite fountain in forsythe park there is a Marine corp memorial. This is the spot by this fountain I planned to walk with my Father to my Marine in his dress blues to marry the love of my life. Sounded too good to be true. The middle of December we paid the wedding planner half. I asked for a receipt which I never received. I didn't think anything of this until the next time we spoke again it was about the other half of money. At this point I've sent pictures of my flowers, daughter's flowers, Dads boutinere, and cake with no response. She then asked me to send the information and pictures again, therefore feeling that things were moving forward sent the last half of the money. At this point we needed to find a vintage home to stay in which we reserved for 1300 for the date of Feb 6,7 and 8th. At this point I began to start getting the run around. She started telling me she was having personal issues. Then there was a 3 week period with no response from her. He was being deployed after we were to be married and became nervous we were running out of time. We at that point tried to cancel the reservation on the house which were told we couldn't and wouldn't get our money back. We then paid someone else to marry us. Since it was such last minute we decided to do something simple so that my special day could still happen. Since we had to use the house we went on the weekend of our original wedding. On our wedding day we go to the fountain to see it drained surrounded by city trucks and workers because they had been renovating it for 2 weeks. Since this person has not only ruined our dream day but has kept our money.
