Jeff Morgan Of Morgan & Associates Law Firm Threatening legal action and contact of former employer Nationwide

Have been receiving phone calls for almost a year at least once a month. This time however they changed tactics by using a new name as the Law Firm of Morgan & Associates also used a different vendor(different from the vendor name they've used during the past year) that they are supposedly representing and the phone number this time read as unavailable. In the past the numbers were from Florida, Washington, Philadelphia. They claim that this transaction happened in 2005, they have my social security number, my old checking account number & name of bank and also the name of my former employer who they threatened to contact.

The accent is an Indian accent (from India). By this time I recognize their voices and I'm quite sure it is the same individuals who have called me in the past(with another company's name). They threaten legal action, arrest, etc. When I ask them to send me the information via mail or e-mail they say they're not able to. They harrass and pressure, also try to scare...they claim everything can be settled if you give them a credit card to settle the account.

I know in my gut that this is a scam as I don't have anything outstanding to settle. They also don't take no for an answer, I've hung up on them only to have them call 2 or 3 times more in the same day. Usually the 2nd or 3rd call is from a "supervisor". They even have the audacity to ask for my attorney's name....I mean they really scare you...especially if you're not sure if you owe anyone any monies. I mean 2005...my goodness who would wait 3 years to contact you if you owed them any money.In the past they've said that they were a special investigation department with the US government.

They've got to be stopped....I'm sure people have actually been scared into paying them....I almost did when I first got called, but I contacted the Better Business Bureau and got more info....I was on to them after that 1st call. It is frustrating and upsetting especially when they threaten you.
