Kemptville is a small community located just outside of Ottawa, Ontario with very few jobs around, so although I was warned by everyone in Kemptville not to go work for Jeff Underhill at the Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill, I needed the job and went to work there anyway. This was the biggest mistake of my life, I quickly learned why so many people warned me not to work there and why they "Shoeless Joe's" have such a hard time keeping employees, expecially girls. 

Although it's been a while since I left, I want to tell my story as a friend of mine just left there and she had the same problems as I did.  When I workled there, we (female employees) referred to Jeff Underhill as "Creepy" because he was difficult, scary and very creepy to work for unless you were one of his daughters. Jeff Underhill would often make extremely creepy sexual comments to me and other girls when no one else was around to hear it and then when he seen you were uncomfortable, he would just laugh and say "I'm just Joking" or "Just Kidding".

Jeff Underhill would constantly lie to us about the hours we worked and would then cheat us out of the amount of money that was owed to us on our pay. When I worked there, the Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill head office from Toronto had a sports team program that would kick back money to the franchise owner/manager depending on the amount of money these sports teams spent at the restaurant, so Jeff Underhill all of us servers register most or all of the bills from our customers as a sports team regardless of who they were.

Most of these people were just families or ordinary customers eating at the restaurant and had nothing to do with a sports team, but we had to put it their bill down as a sports team anyway. At least 80% of the bills that were registered under a sports team had nothing to do with a ports team whatesoever and Jeff Underhill had us conduct his fraudulent activities for him. Many of us felt very uncomfotable doing this, but that was just part of working there.

I was ripped off from my pay on a regular basis, had to put up with a lying, creepy owner while having to conduct fraudulent activities for him. I can't say enough about the nighmarish experience I had working at the Shoeless Joe's Sports Grill in Kemptville and to put up with "CREEPY" Jeff Underhill.  Take my advice and don't ever work there, expecially if you're a girl...
