On NOvember 8, 2004 I was contacted by a Jessica Winters of Jefferson Financial Corporation saying that my company was approved for a loan of $20,000.00.
She said that all I had to do was send in a deposit of $2,200.00 to secure my loan. She gave me a bogus website for the BBB where she said that company was listed with.
Yes, the company was listed there but it was a made up website.
She faxed me numerous papers that she said I had to sign, and asked for my tax records, DL, and Art. of Incorp. I told her that I wasnt gonna send them this money, that if they wanted me for a customer then they could take that deposit out of the loan money. She said they cant do that. So she gave me another website to the bank where the loan money was sitting along with the account number and telephone number to this bank.
I looked it up and there it was. An account with my name on it with a balance of $20,000.00, not to be released untill I made the deposit. The bank Eastern Caribbean Bank of Commerece is overseas, so no contact could be made with them. After extensive reasearch of these 2 company's, I have discovered the same scam that others have about this company.. Thank God it was BEFORE I sent them any money.....

Malibu Trust Company -Loan Scams

December 2004.
I am also a victum of this loan/lender scam. I was contacted by a representative named Felicia Walters that told me that I was approved for a loan for $20,000 dollars and the only thing that I would need to do was to secure this loan through a loan insurance company. And in order to receive this loan I would have to provide their insurance company called "Watermark Insurance company"with $2,100.00 dollars. This dollar amount was subjected to a level of insurance in case you were to ever become unemployed, disable or etc. Malibu Trust wanted me to wire money Western Union/Money Gram to this insurance company addressed to an individual. I was not comfortable with that. I told the rep. from Malibu that if they wanted to do business with me that they would have to take the money directly from my bank. Well they tried every step necessary to avoid dealing with a bank transaction because you know that a bank has the capabitlity to trace back any and/or all information that comes through any customers account. I am not sure if everyone knows this but if someone deduct funds directly from your account the bank has to refund "all" of your money if you state to them that your transaction was fraudulent or not approved. Well if a bank has to refund as little as $1.00 to their customers for scams like this, they will spend millions of dollars hunting this people down that is trying to get funds fraudulently. And they will find them. All banks carry a high level of firewalls and security. This fraud company knew that if they were to deal with a bank they can eventually find themselves in prison for a federal crime. Therefore I done a lot of investagations of the two companies and neither company was listed with the State Attorney's General. These companies addresses and phone numbers did not exist. And just a reference to anyone who is reading this letter, allmost all lenders has to be licensed through their state of residence and also licensed through your state in order to lend you money. And on top of all of this I even asked for the lenders license number. Well you can figure it out from here, I never got it. Thank God I did not give them this opportunity. Who's to say that these people are not trying to steal our identity as well. So be very careful. Please report any fraud abuse to your State Attorney General's office.

After my research on this company, I opted to not deal with them. The following day, I was called back by the same person, in which she found this report. She had the nerve to yell at me saying I slandered her name and made her loose clients.
She stated to me that what they would do for me was send my bank a certified check for the $20,000.00, and then once i got it then i could send in the money for the deposit. But the catch was (and there always is one) that she would give my bank instructions NOT to release the check to me until I have made that deposit.
It all sounded good, until I saw the rest of these reports on here about the same woman, and the people who sent there money in and got nothing.....She even refused my account after she saw the report I made, and transferred it to a man named Andrew.
Boy, this company is good. They sure do look real. Please all, Be careful. As a reminder, It is illegal in the USA for any broker to ask for an advanced fee for a loan.
And never give your bank account or credit/debit card numbers to people over the phone, mail or internet............
