I also fell pray to Jennifer Howard's scam regarding the 2005 Maxima. It was too good to be true, but for the most part they were pretty good at making it look legit. They informed me they used eBay to process payment and shipping for security reasons for all parties.

She and her friends (assuming there are some) got $1450 from me. Like most others it wasn't extra! Looking back there were red flags that should have gotten my attention. Fortunately for me they got greedy. When they informed me their policy changed and final payment (another $1450) would need to be paid prior to my receiving the car for inspection, they pushed it a little too far.

I know never to pay everything up front. So I did more checking in eBay and found things I had not been able to find before. Nothing in the way the requested the transaction take place rang true with eBay. I finally got on a live chat with someone from eBay who confirmed my fears.

Please make sure you find out and read all information for all organizations you are considering transactions through. Look up the sellers name, address, phone, email, anything.

My daughter put in her address and the website came up with Jennifer Howard's name on it. If I had done that I would not be out $1450!
