Jennifer Stewart owns and operates "Adorn Home" in the Seville shopping center in Scottsdale, Arizona.  In March 2011, we purchased several big ticket items from her, including outdoor furniture, indoor home furnishings (sofa and chairs) and contracted her for custom items.  We paid for all items up front, in full.  She NEVER placed ANY of the orders.  After several months of her LIES and procrastinating, we finally contacted one of the "alleged" vendors she claimed to have ordered from and they'd never heard of her, nor did she have an account with them.  Subsequently, we canceled this order.

There were several other orders we placed and, deciding to give her the benefit of the doubt, we agreed to stay the course with her and wait for delivery of the remaining items.  Much to our dismay, (but not to our surprise) the remaining items had not been ordered by her nor had she sent in the deposit to her vendor for the fabrication of our custom-made items.

It took the better part of six weeks to obtain a refund for the items we paid for and never received.  She never apologized for her behavior, instead she blames the vendors for "losing the checks" or misplacing the orders.  She is a pathological liar and she has NO SHAME.

Further, her store opened the last part of July 2011 only to close within five weeks of opening.  She fraudulently charged our corporate credit card for purchases we DID NOT make and we ultimately had to dispute those fraudulent charges with our credit card company.

I have heard numerous stories from other people who have experienced the same type of treatment from Ms. Stewart and her store.  She is unscrupulous and dishonest.  She will blame anyone and everyone she can in order to cover her lies.

She presents herself as an Interior Design professional.  She is anything but a professional.  She does not work with professionals and burns every "professional" bridge she comes across.  I put her in contact with industry leads and she ended up screwing every single one of them over; she still owes one fabricator several thousand dollars for furniture he started for her and was never paid the balance due.

Do yourself a favor, find a reputable company to do business with; there are many companies who offer design services and in-home design consultations at no cost to you.  Interview several designers and/or companies before you hire anyone.   Ask around...ask for references and ask to see a portfolio of their work.  Talk to previous clients before you hire any "Designer".  There is NO LICENSING requirements in the state of Arizona for "interior designers"...buyer beware.
