I went to Eddie Jensens shop in Monroe to get my brakes on my work van done which by the way cost me $900.00 dollars. Two days later my right rear wheel fell of my van while I was driving it on the highway at highway speeds. I am so lucky I did not get killed or kill someone else. This caused a lot of damage to my van and between the body shop and the van repairs I was out of work for over a week.  Eddie payed for the repairs but never offered to compensate me for the 1,000.00 dollars of lost wages. I am currently doing my own investigation its been brought to my attention that every employee that works at Jensens uses drugs including Eddie the owner.

Report that Jensen Tire and Auto Nearly Killed Customer is Strange

AUTHOR: Kevin - ()

POSTED: Friday, July 04, 2014

I recently had new brakes and rotors installed on my car by Eddie Jensen at Jensen Tire and Auto.  The existing brakes had not been serviced for 40,000 miles and were making an extremely loud grinding noise that was getting progressively worse by the day.  I went to Eddie's shop based on the recommendation of a friend.

A day after dropping my car off at Jensen's, I received a phone call from Eddie at about 8am with an estimate of the cost of the repairs. I informed Eddie that I simply could not afford to have the work performed and would stop by to pick up my car later that same day.  Approximately two hours later, Eddie left me a voice mail message, stating that he could not let me take the car because the brakes were so badly damaged that they would likely fail and that "he couldn't live with himself" if something happened.

He told me that he had noticed that my children's field hockey equipment was in the back seat of the car.  I immediately suspected that Eddie was a con artist and wanted to perform the work and I had no intention of letting Eddie hold my car hostage.  I susbsequently called several other brake repair shops to see if Jensen's estimate for the proposed work was reasonable and each of them indicated it was, assuming the work needed to be performed.

When I arrived at Jensen Tire and Auto to pick up my car, Eddie and one of the mechanics at the shop showed me the extent of the damage to the brakes and explained the risks involved in driving the car.  Again, I told Eddie that I could not afford the repairs and that I needed to take the car, which was jacked up in the service bay. Eddie told me that he didn't care if I could afford to pay and that he was going to do the work anyway. He said he would accept post-dated checks or "my word" and that I could call him and make the payments over time, whenever I had the money.

I know little to nothing about brakes but in my view, Eddie's conduct is not consistent with the conduct of a "crook".  It is consistent with the conduct of a professional and a guy who apparently has children of his own. Prior to having the repairs performed, Eddie didn't know me and I didn't know him.  Why he would accept "my word" that I would pay perplexes me but is perhaps one of the kindest things a stranger has done for me.

Other than the facts described in his complaint, I know none of the facts involving the alleged incident where an individual's right rear wheel fell off his car at highway speeds.  It does not take an expert, however, to conclude that the report is suspect if not bizarre.  Anyone reading the complaint needs to ask himself or herself the following questions: If your tire fell off your vehicle, particularly at highway speeds, following a repair job performed by a mechanic, (1) would you take the vehicle back to an allegedly drug-addicted group of mechanics who were so incompetent that they put your life in jeopardy; or, (2) would you call an attorney?

There are likely more attorneys than cars on the road and I can't conceive of any attorney not taking a case on contingency on behalf of a client whose tire fell off his car at 60+ MPH after being serviced by a repair shop run by a known drug-user and staffed 100% by known drug users.  It's only been several weeks since my brakes were repaired by Jensen Tire and Auto.  None of my four wheels has fallen off yet and although I do not expect them to fall off, I know that the first phone call I would make would be to an attorney.  I am sure yours would too.  Think about it.

What a crock

AUTHOR: Rodger - ()

POSTED: Friday, November 15, 2013

I have been a customer of Jensen's Auto since he opened his own shops and have never had a single issue with Eddie. I have always found him honest and reliable. The only time my cars go anywhere else is when Eddie finds a problem that he believes is still under warranty and he will tell you to go to the dealership. Jensen's is a AAA certified repair facility and as such that offers even further assurance you and your car are in safe and competent hands. I have a family also and know if Eddie has repaired my vehicle it is safe for everyone in my family to drive.

Eddie Jensen is a reliable honest individual and stands behind his work. This individual making these remarks thinks someone else should be there to wipe his nose when he sneezes and he should win the big jackpot when he buys a lottery ticket.

Jensen Tire is the best!

AUTHOR: Anne - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, December 01, 2011

I strongly disagree with this post.  I have been a loyal customer of Jensen Tire, both in Monroe and Trumbull since they opened.  I was never more thrilled to hear Eddie was opening his own shop in Monroe, as I trust him totally an have never had a bad experience with him or any of his staff.

He explains thoroughly what needs to be done, and does NOT do work that is not necessary, or agreed upon.  His staff is well trained, professional, and does very good work.  If my car has ever been there for more than a day, he has offered me a loaner car to use while my work is being done.

I have recommended many friends to Jensen Tire, and have never heard of anyone who left there dissatisfied.  If a customer ever does have a problem, a simple talk with Eddie is all that is needed to work things out, he values his customers and is honest and fair with everyone.

The comments of the above individual are ludicrous.  Eddie and his ENTIRE staff are on drugs? Eddie "tried to kill him?"  These things are so far from the truth it is laughable!  I totally see how this is simply the pathetic attempt of a disgruntled employee to try and strike back at a very good man.

Hey, Eddie

Your "former employee" was actually pretty generous, stating that you DID at least take care of the repairs. I would think such a saboteur would out and out assassinate your rep on every count.

That said, it does seem somewhat over the top that such an accident could happen without the occupants of the vehicle being seriously injured or killed, and the only thing the OP mentioned is vehicle damage.
