Jerry's Towing Service,Jerry's Automotive Overcharged me for towing my car. I only needed a jump off but he told me he didn't have any jumper cables. Townville South Carolina

My car stalled on me at a red light. I called *HP and was told that they would send someone out. In about 25 minutes a highway patrol came and asked me what the problem was. I told him that i needed a jump off and that if i couldn't get it started then i would need a tow. So he proceeded to call someone. When the tow truck got there he immediatedly started putting the car on the tow truck. I asked him if once i got home if he could jump my car off because it was the battery. He stated that he didn't have any jumper cables. He told me that he was going to give me a break and that it wouldn't cost that much. I was only about a mile from my house and was relieved that this man was helping me out. When we got to my house he stated that i stayed in a new subdivison and i stated that it had only been there about 2 years. When we pulled up to my house he stated that he was going to go ahead and do the paperwork. Once he completed it, he told me that my bill was $130.00, i almost feel out of the truck. I was only a mile from my house and the man didn't do anything but tow my car. He sayed that the Highway patrol tell them what to charge customers because some of the towing companies were overcharging customers. Once i called my insurance company they were outraged my the high bill. They stated that the most towing cost are between $35.00 - $60.00. They would only reimburse me $100.00. So therefor i'm out of $35.00 due to someone's greed. This was to much to charge someone and i would never use his services again.
