When you first start out at the school they are very nice to you. Understand that this is all an act to butter you up. Their main goal at this school is to get you to the EXIT EXAM and then fail you and keep your money. After failing the EXIT EXAM 4 times they tell you to go back to term 3. They are known to tamper with grades. I have been told me professors who were resigning that they tamper with grades. The professor who informed me of this practice was surprised to see a student repeat a class that the student should have passed.

This school is a revolving door for instructors. Most of them start out and then leave when they realize what goes on and the way Jersey College conducts business.

They are accredited by the COE. The COE is not a specialized nursing accrediting agency like the ACEN, CCNE and NLN. Many prospective students end up being deceived because they don't know the difference. They just hear the term "accredited" and think it is legit. Not all accreditations are created equal. You cannot compare COE which accredits “high schools” with the prestige of ACEN, CCNE, and NLN. But what does Jersey College care they don’t expect students to know the difference.

If you are a parent or work full time this school is not for you. When you enroll they will promise to work around you schedule (LIE)  When you get to the 3rd term you are either in class or in clinical from 7:30AM to 3:30PM from Monday to Thursday and exams are given Fridays. There are many other nursing schools with night classes and weekend classes.

 It is important for schools to give comprehensive exams (EXIT) to make sure their students pass the NCLEX. The problem with Jersey College/SSS Educational INC is that Less than 20% of the students who take the EXIT EXAM are able to pass it. This is a direct reflection of the effectiveness of their curriculum. Why would they keep the same old curriculum if it is flawed? As long as the financial aid money keeps on flowing and students keep attending they don’t see a reason to change anything.

The clinical situation at this school is a whole other issue. This is a $30,000 “professional nursing” program and the clinical’s done at nursing homes and day care centers.  If you live in the south Florida area there are a lot options out there. Stay away from this school they are bad news.
