Jesse Amoroso and I put my 1965 Fender Stratocaster on consignment in his shop on March 25, 2017. For approximately 7-8 months I kept inquirying about the status of consignment. He woud tell me he had buyers but none would fully commit to purchase. I finally asked him if he would like to buy the guitar for himself and to give me an offer. He gave me an offer and I countered with my offer. We both agreed on MY offer. I told him I woud send him a "Bill of Sale" for him to sign off on. He told me there was no need for bill of sale, he would send a check as soon as he notified his bookkeeper.

I waited a couple days before I texted Jesse as to what happened to the check.  He blamed his bookkeeper and said he would make sure the check is sent. A couple days later he sent me a bogus USPS tracking number. The check never came. The USPS informed me the item was never delivered to their faciity. This went on until I decided to visit Jesse in Las Vegas.

I texted and called Jesse that I was coming to either pickup my guitar or if he still wanted the guitar to give me the money we both agreed on. On March 3, 2018 I walked into his shop and he was there. We talked briefly then I asked him about my guitar. He looked at me and said "I sold it'. I was surprised to say the least. I asked for my share of the "cosignment price" but he didn't or wouldn't tell me how much he sold it for, He then said he would come up with the money by late afternoon. I gave him that opportunity to get the money. He texted me about 6:30 p.m. and tod me he would send the check Monday, March 5, 2018. On Monday I called him and he asked for my bank routing number and my personal bank account, so he could deposit my share to my account. My bank informed me that his request was fine and security measures would prevent him from withdrawing the deposit if he decidedd to do that. This was just another dietcitfu ploy by Jesse.  No money has ever been deposited!

I treasured my guitar and thought I put it in the hands of someone who also treasured antique guitars. I am 71 years old, served in Vietnam with the Marine Corps and to be disrespeted and "ripped off" like this is very hurtful. I am upset, depressed and just sick over this situation. I am not looking for sympathy but an understanding by all who read this. I just want my share of the cosignment price if Jesse indeed sold my '1965 Fender Stratocaster'. A reciept of the actual sale price and to whom he sold it to would great.

I have read complaints of jesse Amoroso by others and the M.O. parelles my eperience. I could have written those complaints. Jesse sold my guitar then stole my share of the consignment money. Fraudelent business practices, dishonesty, theft woud describe Jesse Amoroso.

Jesse of Cowtown Guitars also "ripped me off"

AUTHOR: Ron - (United States)

POSTED: Wednesday, August 15, 2018

On 9/13/'17 I put on consignment with Jesse Amoroso owner of Cowtown Guitars a 1974  Fender blond telecaster.  After some time I called and ask about the status and was that the guitar had been sold.  He told me he would bring the money, it didn't happen. Then multple times he said that the check had been sent but I never received it. I then filed a small claims action against Jesse Amoroso, Jennifer Amoroso and Cowtown Guitars and received on 4/23/'18 a default judgment for $3499.00.  To date he still hasn't paid me and I will take further legal action.  This jerk needs to outed for what he is....."A THEIF"! If anyone else reads that has had another bad interaction with Jesse , please contact me  at flik@cox.net. He needs to be stopped!
