Jesse's Cabinet Shop & Jesse Lord is a ripoff. Hoschton, Georgia

I always measure the value of a company by the way they take care of their problems. Jesse's Cabinet Shop in Hoschton, Georgia, formerly from Duluth, Georgia leaves you high and dry when it comes to dealing with their problems.

I ordered an entertainment center custom made for a room in the basement I was finishing. The bottom portion is a cabinet type with doors and an area that serves as a desk. On top of this is a book shelf unit thst extends to the ceiling with adjustable shelves. I ordered it with half down and half on installation.

The crew from Jesse's Cabinet Shop showed up to install the unit and I found some of the brass knob hardware dented from the ride in the truck. They assured me it would be replaced. They installed the cabinet portion and then went on to install the book shelf top portion. A light switch is on that wall and they were to cut a hole in the back of the unit to have access to the switch. They cut the hole in the wrong place and then trying to conceal their shoddy work, broke the dimmer switch on the rocker switch. They tried to "rig" it but it still looks terrible.

I called Jesse Lord many times requesting to relace the knob, pay for a replacement switch and send some matching paint so I could repair and blend the back of the shelf unit myself. He assured me "the check was in the mail" along with the knob and the paint. After three months of this, he had the nerve to say" I guess you really need that money, don't you."

I give up but this service is a good way to vent and warn others about doing business with people like this.

Oh, on completion, the crew requested that I make the check out to Jesse Lord instead of Jesse's Cabinet Shop. I wonder why he would do that? Maybe the IRS would know?
