Please watch for false advertisement. Don't believe everything these showhosts say. Because it is virtually impossible to tell a lab grown synthetic stone from a natural one, the synthetic stones are often advertised as "real, from mother nature". Yes, they have all the same characteristics as the natural, from the earth, meaning that in labratories around the world, the stones will test as natural. But the price difference is significant.

Synthetic gemstones are not cheap. The price you pay is most of the time close to the real value of the stone. Just don't assume you're getting a deal because in a fashion magazine you see a ruby ring selling for $30,000.00 and you managed to find one with the same carat weight on Jtv for a fraction of that price. It's not the same stone. No matter what the showhosts say. They can scream until they're blue in the face how their gemstones are all real. They are lying and misleading.

The same is also true for diamonds. Their diamonds are lab grown. They are NOT CZs but very cleverly lab created clones even the crappiest ones. There are refferences online about this on various websites. Only when you're watching the TV, the showhosts are NOT going to mention this, because they think you as a consumer won't buy.

One of the main reasons that Jtv sells their colored diamonds for less then white/colorless ones, is because colored diamonds take less time to culture in the lab then the white ones.

All I can say for myself is, I'd been a sucker and purchased some items but now it's too late to return because 30 days have come and gone. Don't make the mistake that I did. Don't buy blindly, buy knowing this information.

JTV comments

AUTHOR: len - (USA)

POSTED: Friday, January 22, 2016

I have purchased from JTV many times with no problems. To the person who stated that diamonds are grown in labs,NO. Only cubic zirconia can be lab grown which is often used in place of a diamond and is stated by the seller.  JTV has always been upfront about their gems.  Also treatment of gemstones is an acceptable and common practice. The treatments are not deceptive but only done to enhance the beauty of the natural gemstone. You brush your hair and put on make up?  Hope you get my point.

JTV is GREAT

AUTHOR: Kathy - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, November 04, 2008

Hi there,

As a confirmed jewelry addict I can only say that JTV is great. They have admitted that Andesine is a treated gemstone and settled that lawsuit. Their return policy of 30 days is very reasonable and I have successfully returned items. Their prices are VERY reasonable. I have bought diamonds from them that were tested independently and confirmed to be genuine and appraised for much more than the JTV price. Some (okay all) of the hosts exagerate and extrapolate way over the top, but they are mostly sales people, not gemologists! They do claim to educate, and expound on their sometimes nebulous knowledge; just turn the channel and go on line. Their jewelry and gemstone prices cannot be beat. I have no concerns over buying jewelry or gemstones they claim to be natural as being lab grown. They tell you upfront if a stone is lab created or synthetic. Where is your evidence that a diamond bought from JTV as a natural stone is actually lab created? You need to post the gemologists report......I doubt that you actually have one!
