I paid $104.95 for a front end alignment on my jeep on 11/25/08 at Jim Archer in Houston, Texas.
Then rotate my tires at the beginning of February and noticed significant wear.
I did not immediately suspect the alignment and thought it could just be the type of all-terrain tire.
Tried to contact Jim Archer Jeep numerous times and finally learned the service department had closed.
I went to different jeep dealer to "check" the alignment.
The technician indicated he had to adjust "everything".
In ten weeks I did nothing to cause the first alignment to be out of adjustment in every aspect. A single bump or pothole would not cause toe, camber, etc to all be out of specification. I avoid these spots while traveling on my usual day-to-day travel.
The second jeep dealer charged me for the new alignment.
I went back to the original servicing dealer and spoke personally with Jim Archer who made excuses and basically brushed me off. He obviously had not intension of returning any portion of the $104.95 spent/wasted at his dealership.
I contacted Chrysler Inc. and they refused to stand behind their dealer, service or product. It is fairly obvious that the technician at Jim Archer used the incorrect specifications for my vehicle for every aspect to be out of specification. Since neither Jim Archer nor Chrysler will seem concerned with my issue, I will never purchase another Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep product. I suggest steering clear of Jim Archer Chrysler Jeep.

Chrysler LLC comes through...

AUTHOR: Art vandelay - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Sunday, March 22, 2009

After rejection from the dealer and also from Chrysler LLC, I received a very timely email survey from Chrysler LLC.
I did not pull any punches and the survey reflected my dissatisfaction for Chrysler LLC not standing behind the service for the products they sell.
Several days after submitting my survey I was contacted and asked to submit all of my paperwork to Chrysler.
I was notified that they would refund my cost for the initial front end alignment performed incorrectly by Jim Archer Chrysler Jeep.
The refund arrived as promised.
A big thanks to Chrysler LLC for standing behind service after the sale!!!!!!!!
