Jimmie is involved in repairing boats and he sells used motors.  I purchased a 70 hp outboard and he priced it installed, with a 3 yr guarantee.  I paid him half down, in cash.. I got a hand written receipt with Blackwater marine listed on the slip. He said it would take a week to put it on the boat.  It was 3 months later when I got the boat back.  I ran it.  It would not go into reverse.  I checked it out myself, and found the oil, filter, etc was never touched. It was old.  It was supposed to have been gone all over. As the boat was a sailboat, he sent someone to check it out and the fellow had no experience with 4 strokes and couldn't fix it.  After I took to boat to a reputable dealer, and had it checked out,  it turns out it had been overheated 29 times (from the computer reading), had a bad thermostat,  and a bad lower end, which they unsuccessfully tried to repair/. I bought  a new motor , returned the motor to Jimmie and made him sign a paper saying he would pay back the money.  I accepted a 60 day paypay time, he said he could do it in 90. After 90 days, he said he would pay me $500 wk until it is paid off.  He said he would bring it to the house.  Over 120 days later, no money. After quite a few phone calls, some returned, others not,  many promises, no action.  None.  As a salesperson, he was the smoothest person I have ever met.  He has a very honest disposition but has outrightly lied to me on many occasions.  He is not to be trusted.  He has a reputation or moving around , and changing company names.  Warning.....stay away. I would not give him the benefit of the doubt as I did many time.
