Jims Extreme Movers, Jim Broke Furniture and Destroyed Property Dallas Texas

Where do I start? My family and I were leasing a house in Little Elm, TX and making our payments on time. However, the owner of the house was not making the house payments. Because of that the bank foreclosed on her. The bank gave us two weeks to get out of the house, January 31, 2007 or face eviction.

Franticly my wife and three kids, ages 12, 19 months and 9 months, began looking for a house. Luckily we found one in Hickory Creek, TX and begun planning our move. We contacted several moving companies and decided on ABC Relocation for our move on January 26, 2007.

The movers were supposed to be at our house at 11:00 am on that date. At 11:25 am I made a courtesy phone call to find out what time we should expect them. I was then informed that ABC Relocation had us scheduled on February 02, 2007. I have proof via email that we scheduled it for January 26,2007. They did not have anyone available to move us until the following week. That would not work for our timeframe and plus we had already packed everything that we need for living and taking care of our family.

I then called Jim's Extreme Movers. I talked with Jim and he informed me that he would move me that afternoon for the same price the other company had quoted me. He told me that Greg, a supervisor, or himself would be out there with his worker at 3:30 pm to start the moving. I had to call Jim at 5:00 pm that evening to find out where he and his movers were. He told me that they were on their way and should be there shortly. They finally arrived at 7:02 pm that evening.

However, neither Greg nor Jim showed up. After they got the first load loaded, we drove to our new home in Hickory Creek. While they were backing the moving truck into my driveway, they went into the yard and broke the main water line to the house and our irrigation line. We had to call the city to get the water turned off. Now we are moving into a house with no water based on Jim's Extreme Movers' negligence.

I called the Jim and informed him of what happened and he said that he would call me at 7:00 am the next morning to have a plumber come out to repair the lines. At 9:00 am the next morning, January 27, 2007 I had to call him. He treated me with disrespect and asked why I was calling him so early. I reminded him about my water line and he said that he would have someone out within the hour and that he was on his way to our house as well.

Two hours later, I again had to call him. He informed me that he could not find anyone to come to our house to repair the damage and to call a plumber ourselves. My wife, Trish, called and had someone scheduled that afternoon. We also called the city again to make sure that this was our problem or a problem the city could repair. They informed me it was our responsibility.

After the plumber arrived, he dug around the leak and determined the damage. I called Jim and informed him and he said to have them repair, us pay, and then he would reimburse us. The bill ended up being $712.00. Money my family and I did not really have with all of the other moving expenses that we had to pay that we didn't plan for in such a short time.

The movers also broke furniture, damaged our washer and dryer and scraped up numerous items. I called Jim about these items as well and he hung up on me. I have done everything that Jim as asked of me such as keeping informed of all information, reporting damage as I found it and faxing the receipt to him when asked. I have called him at the times that he said he would be available to talk yet he hardly ever answers his phone. When I do talk to him about getting this matter resolved he yells at me and then hangs up on me. I have asked him for his business address and he will not provide that to me.

I informed the property owner and informed them of what was going on and they called Jim as well. When they talked to him, he yelled at them and hung up. He is going against his word and I feel that everyone needs to know what type of business man he is. And warn your viewers to never to business with Jim's Extreme Movers. He is a shady business man who has lied to me and berated me this entire week.

Also he has false advertising. On his website, www.jimsextrememovers.com he states that if anyone is dissatisfied with the move then he will refund all money. I am not satisfied at all and he refuses to stand by what his web-site states. That is advertising fraud.

This story, I feel, would interest your viewer for many reasons. One, a family is forced to leave their home because a landlord did not pay their bills. I was shocked when I was informed and had no idea what my rights were. Which we found out was none. Two, a business owner lies, destroys property and does nothing to rectify the situation. Three, hangs up and curses when confronted about the situation to get it resolved. I am sure he would curse and hang up on Fox On Your Side if you called him.
