well I did I needed a job so i called and the lady on the phone( Christina ) asked my name and were I lived. I told her and she said that there was only 1 position left for my state. I though i had it made.

Then she said I would need to send $ 98.oo to them and they would send me my stuff to start. then wanted my checking # and i said that i didn't have one. so then she said that I could send a money order.

so I said ok i can do that, after that she told me the address to send the money and told me about the job. She never asked for my info to send me the package.

well I was going to send them the money untill I though of looking for info about the company and i got a headline that said the company was bad so i did not send them anything. so the reaon i made this report is to let others know about this Rip-off and look for more info on anything that may tell you more about the company and so on.

So look out for things like that. these people need to be stoped so don't let it happen to you or your friends or anybody because you maay never see your money again.

Go to the HUD / FHA website and see what they have to say about "tracers"...Its a SCAM!!

AUTHOR: Steve - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Friday, October 31, 2008

Better read this FIRST!!

>

HUD has an official warning out to warn people of this SCAM.

Here it is right from HUD:
http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/comp/refunds/alerts.cfm

DO NOT pay anyone for any reason to be a "HUD / FHA refund tracer".

This is total NONSENSE! Those lists are so old that most people have moved several times and/or are dead! And, once you notify them of the "refund" due them, they bypass you and you get NOTHING!!

I tried this thing myself about 19 years ago, and it sucked then!

FYI..These types of loans in general have not been issued since the early 80's on which these refunds apply.

AND, there is a 6 year statute of limitations on getting your HUD / FHA refund from the government.

Check out the lists for yourselves, ALL of the names on the lists that are due refunds are at least 10 years old!

How do you spell SCAM

However, people like Matt Williams at EagleSoftwareServices .com will repeatedly advertise "jobs" on Craigslist and other free job boards on this fantastic "JOB".

Don't fall for it.
Do your homework on this thing in general, and on Mr. Williams.

I'm sorry but you do pressure people!

Almost everyone who has filed a rip off repot has said the same thing, " I called the number and was told that there was only one position left in my area." Well to a seriuos person who wants to make money at home they are put in a position to make the decision write now. No time to think or try to check out the company to see if it is on the level. Just jump now and take your cances or decline the only job in your area and possibly miss out on something wonderful. That really is the purpose of the statement, "There is the only position left in your area." See they want your money before you get a chance to find out for yourself who they really are. No legitimate company has to use such tactics to get people to sign up, because they are not afraid and have nothing to hide. I too called this company and was told about the last position in my area, I was suckered in by that statement so I gave them my check info. and then like alot of others went looking on the internet for more information on the company and was directed here. Needless to say I immediatley called my bank and cancelled the check. Which still cost me $25 but I'd rather pay for my mistake with the bank then these fruads. Bottom line is if they hadn't told me that I called about the last position, I would have told them that I wanted to think about it first and then get back to them. If that is not pressure I don't know what is.

Disagree with JMW Financial Employee, false advertising

AUTHOR: Lorna - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 05, 2004

I did, in fact get my refund, but I disagree with what the JMW Financial employee stated in their rebuttal.

1) The ad states that you can make a specific amount of money per week (I forget what the exact amounts are). That is false advertising, because you stated that the amount earned can vary depending on how much time is spent working it.
2) Trainers are NOT available as long as you need them. It states in the booklet that trainers are only available for the 90-day period.
3) You stated that ALL requests are reviewed and approved or declined on an individual basis. This is misleading, because it states in the booklet that if you work it for 90 days, and return 30 envelopes, you WILL get a refund. Sounds like you need to read the booklet, because what you are saying here is contradicting what the booklet says. I worked this job for 90 days and sent out hundreds of letters and Personal Services Contracts, and only got 2 responses for processing the tracers. A total of $136 for 90 days, and hundreds of dollars spent on stamps, paper, ink, and envelopes, not to mention the hours spent looking up addresses. I DID work this and spent many hours on it, so not all of these complaints are from people who didn't work the program!

Rebuttal from JMW Financial Services, Corporate Office

AUTHOR: Elizabeth Boyster - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, December 04, 2003

JMW Financial Services is a Training Center for 3rd party tracers. Processing HUD/FHA refunds is a viable way to earn extra money. The program is designed so that you can work as little or as much as you desire, depending on your specific needs. You are able to work at your own pace, in the privacy of your own home and at any time of the day or night.

Along with the training materials that we offer, you will have toll-free access to our qualified staff of Trainers. We can assist you with getting started and processing your refunds every step of the way. The Trainers are available to you for as long as you need thier assistance.

JMW Financial Servies has been in business for over 6 years. We are federally registered and have a business license in Utah and Arizona. Our Corporate Office is in Arizona and we have a branch in Utah as well.

We do offer a money back guarantee, however, Tracers's are required to work the program as specified. After working the program as agreed, most find that it is a good source of income. Some of the complaints listed on this website are from Consumers who have not purchased the training materials or have not worked the program as agreed. Although we offer several different resources for Tracer's to receive training, if they do not contact us, we cannot help them to become sucessful. Others simply change their mind after receiving the materials. If this is the case, they are not honoring their agreement to us to work the program for 90 days. Anyone who has worked the program for the specified 90 days is eligible for a refund. All requests are reviewed and are approved or declined on an individual basis depending on their circumstances.

As with anything, Consumers should listen to what is being offered and ask questions until they are comfortable. Only then should they make a decision, whether it be a major purchase or a life changing decision. We do not pressure people to enroll in our program. We simply explain the process, answer their questions and leave the rest up to them. If they feel it is not an opportunity they wish to embark on, we do not encourage them to make a decision one way or the other.

We are constantly striving to help people to become successful by being "their own boss". We beleive that everyone deserves that chance.

Sincerely,

Dispute Analyst
JMW Financial Services
