I am writing regarding JOAN WARNER and staff from state farm insurance in farmington Hills Michigan i have been a customer for 15 years i have my car insurance and also my house since my car accident in 2010 agent Joan and her staff have treated me like dirt this past week is an example i went to figure out why i am going from paying 279/month to 500/month after already paying the dedicatable which is ridiculous to me she told me how to get it back and thats using my sons student card
my son doesn't live with me and i have proof of this yet Joan Warner and her staff one of whom is a bigger set lady by the name Kathy repeatedly call me a liar and tell me that i am costing their company money at one point she took her computer screen and showed me all the medications they have had to pay and all the doctor bills i am very sick after my car accident i can no longer stand up i wish i never had the car accident because i definitively need a job i am struggling to make ends meat and Joan Warner and Kathy tell me that I am not sick that i am a liar and this has been my agent for many many years
I have payed on time never missed a payment so why paying every month that i do is it so hard for them to not pay for my medical which they did cancel in early December i use to bring her and the staff food from the restaurant i worked at for free i treated her like a friend and since the accident they have done nothing but treat me and my family like 2nd class citizens i had my oldest daughter call and they were very very rude and told her that they think that i am liar my daughter who has been taking care of me when she can has she lives on her own with her husband and child was angry and went to talk to the head of the place
Joan Warner told my daughter it was non of her bussiness how she handles her place and her staff can talk rude to my daughter any way they want my daughter tried to help and ive tried to not go in because i dread it even though i am switching agents thats mistreating thats very wrong i dont want this woman to get away with how she treated me after 15 years with her everytime i go in to ask about how to help make my insurance lower or to provide things they need they roll their eyes make comments and this is her and the agency I contacted the headquarters but yet i feel like they wont do anything if anyone has any advice i will do it because this is very wrong and i wont let others be treated like this..

Okay the point of everything is that Joan warner and her staff have harrassed my father since the car accident and have also hiked up prices which is why she is being investigated has when we called State Farm we got a new agent with completely different rates all he is doing is writing his experience so that if others go to her they will know what to expect and plus mistreating loyal customers isnt right and they shouldnt be getting away with that

Well it appears that the OP took the advise of getting a Ghost Writer, unfortunately this update written by the "Ghost Writer" AKA the daughter is even more confusing than the Original Report.
As near as I can figure there are certain events that have caused Farmers to increase this person's rate. However, the rates are determined by Farmers not the agents that sell the policies so not sure what the agent has to do with this.
So whether or not there is any "RipOff" here is almost impossible to tell. But there is nothing that would keep the father from changing companies. However, when they do I would highly suggest that the father go with someone who speaks English and can translate or he goes to an agent that can speak his language.

I want to thank everyone for the comments I will explain better for my father what hes been trying to say has he was very angry when he wrote this, is that Joan Warner and her staff have been very rude to him since his car accident back in 2010 which did leave him without work he injured his back and neck now when he went 1 month ago to sign some documents for a new policy he asked why did they cancel his health insurance he just wanted to know no arguing nothing Joan looked at my dad and said "because honestly I think your a liar i dont think there is anything wrong with you and your cane is just a ploy to make others feel sorry for you" and then she turned to her computer and said Look at how much I pay for your health insurance and turned the screen to all the medications he has used in one year and how much they cost her company my dad did get mad and when Joan saw this she immeadly said look im just joking??!!! my dad just signed the papers and left.now i believe my dad because there is nothing to gain from lieing about this agent, now last week I called because they told my father that hes a liar and that both my brother and sister live with him so they increased the rate even with proof that they dont live with my parents they still didnt care and did this same stuff when i lived with my husband in Hawaii while he was in the marines my name was on the house yet they wanted to tag me onto the insurance when i had an suv and insurance with usaa and yet they said she lives with you I had to get my landlord to prove this for me.but So instead Joan Warner told my dad if you give me proof your son is a student in college I will lower your car insurance to the original price so my brother gave the proof the next day but when Joan looked at the paper she said no no we want proof that he has a 3.0 or better and then the discount will apply I found that fishy has I was with state farm 6 months ago and all the was needed was proof i was a student for my state farm agent I finally got fed up and called to see what my dad needed and when i did I hear from Kathy (her secertary) who says "Look we explained to your dad he cant understand english that hes problem not ours he lies and lies I mean I have 2 sons one who is 23 and another 28 and i pay for their insurance and im divorced" and at this time im trying to get a word in and Kathy is interupting me on the phone til I yell can I talk or is it just you and i did say dont call my father a liar, my brother lives with me and my sister is away at college in a different state Im not sure what their deal is at all why Kathy began to attack me so much right away no negative tone was used I became ugly myself and told her some stuff frankly if your paying for your kids insurance and they are that old there is something wrong and the divorce hey your business not mine and thats when i hung up and called again to get Joan Warner because shes who I needed to talk to but Kathy picked up and said she wasnt there so I said can i have her voice mail and she said no she doesnt own one it makes her voice sound bad and i said we need to be adults i need to speak to the agent to figure this out so i can tell my father what he needs to get his insurance lowered she said sorry sorry oh no voice mail.. ladies and gentleman i was officially in high school again! after one hour i finally got a hold of Joan Warner who told me that they told my dad and thats that and that he lies about everything hes not sick and that my siblings live with him im just in shock at what im hearing they bashed my dad so i told her that she really needs to reevaluate the way she acts with customers even if you dont like them you still treat them with respect and that goes for anyone calling, she told me it was none of my business how she handled her business with her staff and they can talk to me has they see fit I told her good day and that she will be expecting a call from the supervisor..I did call State Farm's corporate office instead of the supervisor in charge of her because I couldnt believe what i heard honestly and they said in 48 hours they would give me a call havent heard back so now i come on here..I did switch my dad auto insurance to another insurance with even better rates..Its not about the rates its about attitude i wont let this woman Joan Warner and Kathy do this to my dad make him feel likes he is crap for 15 years hes been with them i remember Joan when I was little my dad was very nice to everyone I dont know why they feel they have to bash him like that she started saying some stuff on her facebook about my father and had some customers add in some words about it or her family honestly not just random people has they claimed its getting bad and im trying hard not to be immature but thats my dad ..we also found out that the reason she charged my dad so high was because she put my dad has the person in fault on his car accident in 2010 the new insurance my dad has had to call the DMV to confirm it wasnt his fault when my dad called to cancel he did ask Joan about that and she said well thats what i have here and my dad said so then where is my ticket ? where is it on the DMV and she said nothing and asked which company he switched in and thats when my dad said dont worry about it just cancel it please and that was that..although this is over they still have home owners insurance with Joan Warner but we are searching for others we want to be completely free no ties with her. I hope to at least spread word on her behavior and treatment of customers because im sure there are others like my dad that have been there has my dads best friend left her after 18 years and it started over 2 accidents he had shes like a switch light once you cost her money she turns on you and hates you but WHY when you pay for these coverages monthly..she represents State Farm in a very bad light and I think State Farm needs to start investigating her.

It appears that the OP is complaining about an increase in premium after making a sizable claim. I'm guessing that the OP has not made an insurance claim in recent years, as a premium increase is pretty much standard practice, and will hang around for several years following a claim.
Switching agents is not likely to make any difference. Switching companies, on the other hand, can make a big difference. I thought I was screwed after making a claim several years ago, but I found out that competing companies did not penalize me nearly as much as the company that had to pay the claim.

To the OP, I normally look askance at posts by "friends" or "relatives" supposedly on behalf of another party, but in your case, I URGE you to have one of your children write your subsequent follow-ups. Your grammar is nearly illegible, and if this is what your insurance agent had to work with, small wonder they're giving you a hard time.
Now, on to this hard time. The picture ain't just hanging awry, it's practically swinging like a mad pendulum.
These folks are just your agents. They are not responsible for what State Farm agrees, or fails to agree, to pay out on a claim. They don't even have anything really to do with the adjustment process.
At the most, they serve as middlemen, and if pressing too hard on your behalf means they risk having State Farm dump them as reps, well, you can only expect them to go so far out on a limb for you.
As it is, State Farm may have gotten on their case for even insuring you, let alone trying to push any claim you made.
What exactly are these monthly charges you stated? Car insurance premiums? A health insurance premium? Doctors bills that were put on a payment plan? WHAT? Your agent has nothing to do with the insurer deciding to jack up rates.
Get what back? Use what card belong to your son?
Please point out this post to your daughter and ask her to clear up the details.
If this is a case of State Farm refusing any medical bills related to the accident, y'all need to contact whatever state agency oversees insurers in your state to determine what you should be getting.
